CONFRONTING THE STRONGMAN V

Whenever I look at the standard of morality in the world today, I tremble. Lying is so common among Church going Christians today. If you follow the world, you will miss the Word. God cannot bless anything that has any of the seals of Lucifer. That is why the Church is not evangelizing the world as it ought to. That is why there is confusion everywhere. There is not much difference between the people who go to Church and those who do not. We need to repent.

Repentance must come from a remorseful heart. Two Greek words for repentance are ‘metanoia’ and ‘metamelomai’ which means to have a sense of remorse, to turn away from something and to embrace another thing. It is not enough to say ‘I am sorry’. Repentance is more than that. That is why a lot of people go through the gymnastics of prayer with no results to show. God cannot answer the prayer of a sinner. The prayer of a sinner is an abomination before God. Psa. 66:18, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”. The sacrifice of a sinner is an abomination before God (Prov. 15:8). The Good News Translation says in Prov. 12:22, “The Lord hates liars, but is pleased with those who keep their word”. He hates them enough to sentence them to hell (Rev. 21:8).

If you claim to be a child of God and you have no truth in you, you are kidding yourself. You need to renounce your worldly citizenship and embrace the citizenship of heaven. If you can be truthful and worship God in spirit and in truth, you are accomplished. Forget about all the acrobatics done in the cathedrals.

The rapture is going to be a very selective encounter. It is not everyone that will even hear the sound of the trumpet. That is why two people will by lying down on the same bed, one will make the rapture while the other will not. We need to restructure our spiritual life. This is the major deliverance we need before we go into binding and loosing.

“And remember that if anyone does not have the spirit of Christ living in him, he is not a Christian at all” (TLB).

Pray –

• Lord, search through me. Is there anything you find in me that makes you sad? Is there anything in me that can hinder me from being caught up with you if the trumpet sounds now? Lord, you know everything. Please wash me, cleanse me, purge me, purify me, sanctify me and make me holy, pure, and acceptable to you.
• Father, grant me the grace to live for you. Grant me the grace to love you above all else. Help me to love what you love and to hate what you hate in the name of Jesus.
• Grant me comprehensive dominion over sin, self, satan, all his works, wiles, schemes, agents and all his machinations and all his manipulations in the name of Jesus.
• Grant me the grace to walk hand in hand with you so that your purpose may be fulfilled in my life in Jesus’ name.
• Is there anyone you are still holding in unforgiveness? The person actually wronged you. Call the person by name and forgive him or her so that your prayer “be not hindered”.
• I use the power in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to break the stronghold and the strongman suppressing my blessings.
• I bind you strongman opposing my miracles. I destroy your works. Every weapon you fashioned against me, I decree will never prosper in the name of Jesus.
• I use the power in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth to command every hand manipulating my destiny or destiny of my children contrary to the will of God to be completely paralyzed in the mighty name of Jesus.
