OPERATION 18:18

2023/2024 OPERATION 18-18 – (THE BEST WAY TO CELEBRATE CHRIST I)

A lot of problems linger because of partial obedience. There are some levels of interventions that no one can ever experience until your obedience is complete.

25th of December is a day the world celebrates the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We know that he was not born on the 25th of December. We are not celebrating the day but we celebrate the fact. We celebrate the essence. We celebrate the substance. We celebrate his person, never forget this and get drawn into celebration of superfluity of naughtiness.

“Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands. Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.”
Isaiah 5:11-14, KJV

The Bible describes those who celebrate Christmas without Christ, without the essence. They don’t even regard the works of God or his teachings. They don’t even know him. We need to be very careful of what we celebrate and how we celebrate.

Seven ways we can properly celebrate Jesus

Remember that we are not celebrating the mass; we are celebrating the Christ of the Christmas. That is what God expects us to do. We are going to regard the works of his hand, what he has done.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.”
John 14:23-24, KJV

The best way to celebrate Jesus is to live for him. This is the summary of it.

1. Fall in love with him.
This is so fundamental. Without the love of Christ, you will love other things. If you miss it in the basic foundation of loving God and going out of your way to do what pleases him, going further to love what he loves and to hate what he hates, everything you do will amount to wood, hay and stubble. “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 3:11). Psa. 11:3 says, “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” We must get it right in the foundation of love. God is love but do you love him? Jesus said if any man loves me, he will keep my commandments (John 14:23). If you love him, you will keep his word. Partial obedience is the greatest nemesis of man. Partial obedience is actually disobedience, but people who are partial in obedience believe that they are obedient. If Jesus Christ is Lord, then his word should be the law. No controversy. You don’t obey out of ordinary fear, no, you obey out of reverential fear. You don’t teach fear of God to someone who is fanatically in love with him.

PRAY –
  • Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending your son to die for me. Jesus I thank you for being my redeemer and personal savior. I give you all the glory. Help me to live the rest of my life pleasing you. I declare that through you I shall do valiantly. Amen.
