Seven ways we can properly celebrate Jesus

2. Be obedient.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” 

John 14:23, KJV

Ask God for grace to be complete in obedience. A lot of miracles are hinged on your being complete in obedience, not partial obedience. People love to quote 2 Cor. 10:4-6, it is a good quotation. The last sentence in verse 6 says, “when your obedience is fulfilled”. There are some levels of intervention that no one can experience until their obedience is complete. So, the problem is not obedience per se, the question is, is your obedient comprehensive? Receive the grace to be complete in obedience to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit and to the revealed will of God. That is how to celebrate Jesus. He has given us the blueprint. When you are indwelt by the Father and the Son, you will become a mobile ark. No one can defeat you! Just imagine what the children of God can be if we are truly doing what we are supposed to do. If the children of God who go to Church would live like Christ and be children of God indeed, within twenty-four hours, there will be revival in the world. Jesus will be multiplied everywhere. Meditate on the impact; the limitless possibilities. That is why the whole world is still waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. Ask God for grace to be complete in obedience. Let you mantra be “God, have you said it? I will do it one hundred percent.” Truth does not bend to error. Truth is not afraid to stand on its own but when every other thing has fallen, truth will still be standing. Wouldn’t you align with truth? Truth is eternal. It does not change with time. What has God asked you to do that you are yet to comply with? The best way to celebrate Jesus is to celebrate his word, celebrate his lordship.

The blessings of obedience are fantastic. All the blessings in Deut. 28:1-14 are predicated on complete obedience. The consequences of disobedience are terrible, verses 16-68 enumerate the curses that follow disobedience.

Pray –

• Father, grant me the grace to be complete and prompt in obedience to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit and to your word.
• I pray for every member of my family and every member of Holy Ghost Fellowship International, grace to be complete in obedience, Lord, bestow upon each and every one of us, I ask in Jesus’ name.
