An Encounter with Jesus the Healer

If you are connected to the living God, if you are a God chaser, you will be a healing agent in a sick world. The world is sick and the healing of the world must start from the healing of the nations. The healing of the nations must start from the healing of the Church. The healing of the Church must start from the healing of the home. The healing of the home must start from the healing of man.

The Bible says,

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 

2 Chronicles 7:14, KJV

You should not be satisfied with the standard of the spirituality of the Church in the land. Those who ought to humble themselves and cry to God are compromised. You cannot solve any devil problem by not confronting it. The evil you condone will consume you. Things don’t get better when agents of darkness are in control.

Error magnifies evil and metamorphoses to destroy nations. Evil is an aggressive phenomenon. There is no gentle way to deal with the devil, he can never be a gentleman. You don’t appease the devil, you resist him. You don’t negotiate with evil, you flee every appearance of it.

Pray –

• Father, have mercy on your Church in the name of Jesus Christ. Grant us the grace to humble ourselves, to repent and renounce and turn away from our wicked ways, cling to you, embrace you and fall in love over and over again with you the only living God and your Son, Jesus Christ.
• Help us to be worthy ambassadors of Christ. In all our endeavours, help us manifest Jesus. Let the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings in Jesus’ name.
• Make us healing agents in a sick world. Help us, O God I ask, in Jesus’ name.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” 

Acts 10:38, KJV

The Bible says,

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

1 John 1:8^b, KJV

One of the works of the devil which Jesus came to destroy is sickness. It is one of the repercussions of the fall of man. God created a perfect man who was not supposed to be sick or die but he fell because he allowed his will to be perverted by the snake in the garden and his will became unified with that of the snake. He went outright to disobey a simple command that God gave and so God had to punish him and placed a curse on man. Jesus came to redeem us from the curse. On the cross, he destroyed that curse and that is why we can say by his stripes, we are healed and that was why Jesus said, it is finished (John 19:30).
