An Encounter with Jesus the Healer

Everything that was necessary, legally and vitally for our redemption, was secured on the cross. The sin question was settled on the cross. The cross is the symbol of dominion over sin, self, satan and all his works, all his agents, all his principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world. The cross is a symbol of dominion over sickness, disease, death, hell, poverty, scarcity and lack.

What a lot of people do today in ministry is to take just an aspect of redemption and make it their whole doctrine, thus they produce unbalanced theology. Many times, error is not necessarily the absence of truth but in emphasis. If you make redemption from poverty your only message what happens to the rest? You will produce an unbalanced Christian. You will produce an idolater. If you cannot throw away your idols, you cannot be a God chaser.

You are going to have encounter with Jesus, the healer. The essence of this is that God will not only heal you but you will become a healing agent in a sick world. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb.13:8). His name is a game changer. His name is still producing miracles. He is the truth, truth is eternal. He is the way, he is life. He came that we might have abundant life. Wherever the river of life flows, whatever it touches is made whole.

The Bible says, out of our belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). With this revelation, sickness should be far away from us because our body is the temple for the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, sanctified by the blood of Jesus. So, satan has no right to mess up your body. The Bible says anything that defiles the temple of God, it shall the Lord destroy (1 Cor. 3:17). God will destroy whatever the enemy sends against you.

Sickness is the precursor of death. The leviathan head of death was destroyed on the cross of Christ. No curse can cross the cross. Christ has redeemed us from every curse (Gal. 2:13-14). He was made a curse. God’s prescription for everyman’s malady is the cross. We need to visit the cross. Appropriate the blessings of the cross. Terminate every woe. Destroy every yoke. Become a terror to the kingdom of darkness.

If you stay at the cross, you will not miss the way.

“All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.”

Psalm 25:10, KJV

It is on the cross that mercy and truth crossed. It is on the cross that the will of God crossed with the will of man and man submitted. Whenever the will of God conflicts with your will, ensure that you submit. Idolatry was destroyed on the cross that is why the greatest altar ever raised is the cross.

Pray –

• Thank God. Appreciate him. Celebrate him. Give him all the glory. Thank him for the generous provisions he has made for our wellbeing here and hereafter.
• Thank him for the greatest prescription he has given us in the cross of Christ.
• Ask God to have mercy on you according to his loving kindness, according onto the multitude of his tender mercy. Ask him to blot out all your transgressions and iniquity.
• In any way that we have missed the mark, in any way that our hearts are not right with God, ask for mercy. Ask him to wipe away every transgression and every impurity.
• Pray that the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart will be acceptable in his sight in the name of Jesus.
• Ask him to align our will to his purposive will and let his glory shine forth in our lives and his name magnified in the name of Jesus Christ.
