2023/2024 OPERATION 18-18 – (ALIGN WITH GOD I)
Preparation is very important. Jotham prepared his ways before God and prospered (2 Chro. 27:6). Make your way perfect before God, align with God.
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”Psalm 84:11, KJV
God will not withhold any good thing from you only if you walk uprightly. You must therefore align with the purposive will of God for your life, breaking away from the seed of the snake in the garden, cutting off every influence of the snake in the garden, destroying the seven heads of leviathan, cleaning up and aligning. The God we serve is a thrice holy God. Without holiness, no one can see God (Heb. 12:14).
God is also interested in our horizontal relationships. As much as possible be at peace with everyone, the prince of peace will empower you and enable you to do so. The Bible says,
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.”Hebrews 12:14-15, KJV
It is possible to fall out of grace. Grace is never a licence to live anyhow; rather, it is a supernatural empowerment to align with the purposive will of God to fulfil it. It is an empowerment to do that which ordinarily a carnal man cannot do. Grace enables you to live above sin, it does not make you to succumb to sin.
A lot of psychosomatic sicknesses arise from unforgiveness. If you want to be healed, the first thing to do is to look into the garden of your heart and ask, ‘is there anyone I am holding in unforgiveness?’ Bitterness fouls the spirit. Bitterness defiles and whatever is defiled will be disrobed. Sin makes people naked in the realm of the spirit. A lot of people are bitter.
The people to whom Jesus will profess, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” in Matt. 7:23 were believers. They were workers in the Church, actively involved in Church activities. But what was the departure? You may be doing great things in God’s kingdom but not according to the revealed will of God. That is why we need to pause and take this journey more seriously. They were busy doing their own thing which seemed right to them. But one thing about Christian ethics is the inwardness.
Anything that is done in the flesh amounts to nothing in God’s kingdom. 1 Cor. 3:11-13 talks first about foundation and then about the material you are building with. Those materials could be classified as gold, silver and precious stone. Every activity in God’s kingdom is classified. These are the right ones. The others are hay, wood and stubble.
Every work will pass through fire. Fire will reveal the quality of your work. If you pass gold, silver or precious stone through the fire, they will shine. However, if you pass hay, wood and stubble through the fire, they will burn. A time like this is a time to take stock. Where am I? Am I building on the right foundation? Am I building on the solid Rock, Jesus? What materials am I using to build?
PRAYER –
- Heavenly Father, I worship and adore you in Jesus’ name. Grant me the grace to invest my life on things that have eternal value. Grant that my heavenly investments will never amount to naught in Jesus’ name. Amen.
