THE DOVE IN THE CLEFTS OF THE ROCK III

Seven dimensions of Rock that you need to establish Jesus in your life:

1. The Rock of your salvation.
If you don’t enthrone him as the rock of your salvation, you will continue to answer every altar call for salvation wherever it is made.

2. The Rock of your protection.
There is no protection outside the Rock. Safety is not the absence of danger but the presence of God in the midst of it. There is danger in climbing even the corporate ladder without spiritual consolidation. I know of a father who prayed that God should not allow his children to get to certain levels of success until they are grounded in God. That is a very wise father.

The danger of the eagle and lion theology is that it makes people feel that they have arrived when they are in the wrong destination. They are actually making progress but in the wrong direction. If you adopt that model you will build towers, rise in the corporate world because what they emphasize is the strength of a lion and the vision, diligence and focus of an eagle. They forget to tell people that these animals are vicious, killers, thieves, destroyers, devourers, eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood. If you dream of having an encounter with an eagle, would you consider it a good dream? Conversely, if you have an encounter with the dove in your dream, it means that heaven is smiling at you.

The dove possesses the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness, meekness and temperance. 1 Cor. 10:23 says,

“All things are lawful (that is, morally legitimate, permissible) but not all things are beneficial or advantageous. All things are lawful, but not all things are constructive (to character) and edifying (to spiritual life).”

Every decision has a price. One of the secrets of divine elevation is the decision to pursue purity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he was not going to be defiled from the meat from the king’s portion (Dan. 1:8). All the kings during the time of Daniel ruled but Daniel reigned. The Church needs to start raising Daniels but you cannot raise a Daniel with the eagle and lion theology. These two animals are unclean (Lev. 11:13). Purity is power. To be defiled is to be disrobed. To be disrobed is to be exposed and demoted.

You must therefore establish Jesus as the rock of your salvation, the rock of your protection, the rock of your preservation, the rock of your provision, the rock of your progression, the rock of your perfection and the rock of your promise.

If you must change anything in this world, you must come with the wisdom from above and not the wisdom of this world. The wisdom of this world is sensual, earthly, earthbound.

The clefts refer to all the places where Jesus shed his blood. Each wound borne in the precious body of Jesus Christ was a fountain from which flowed his precious blood.

• His feet.

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” 

Genesis 3:15, KJV

This prophecy was fulfilled on the cross. Jesus’ feet were pierced by the spike that held the cross and the blood that flowed from there went down to bruise the head of the leviathan. We overcome the leviathan by the blood of the Lamb and not by the blood of lion, the blood of lion has no sacrificial value; no redemptive value.
