THREE POWERFUL COMMANDS FOR A VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN LIVING II

Anyone who does not optimize the time allotted to them in this side will just be like one of those whom the Bible recorded that they lived, got married, had children and died. That is it. What will be your testimony? What are you doing? The night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4b). Jesus taught us how to live a purposeful life, John 4:34 has become my favourite scripture,

“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”
John 4:34, KJV

There is no wisdom in passing through life without a purpose. The greatest way to live life is to invest it in something that has eternal value; something that will outlive you. If you study the story of Nimrod, you will discover that he built empires. When I see those who are building empires today, I marvel. Of course, none of them has been able to rival Nimrod who built five empires including Assyria and left with a terrible testimony which is still generating idolaters all over the place.

The spirit of Nimrod is still ravaging the world today because of what one man did. Most of the evils ravaging the continent of Africa are as a result of the spirit of Nimrod. Queen Semiramis was the adulterous wife of Nimrod; they had a child called Tammuz. The mourning period of Tammuz was 40 days and herein lies the origin of the mother child religion. Some Churches have syncretized it to the ignorance of most Church goers because they failed to study Church history. They just go through the religion and miss God. The easiest way to miss God is to walk the path of religion. Unfortunately for the religious, he thinks that by his actions he can please God.

According to 1 Thes. 5:16-18, here are three commands that will enhance your Christian living:

1. Rejoice ever more.
This is a command. Phil. 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice”. This scripture is very direct, very short, very simple yet very powerful. Is it easy? No! There are so many unsatisfactoriness of things; we live in an imperfect world where things are upside down. But it is possible. God does not give his children impossible tasks. There is no prescription from God that is not attainable or undoable. When things don’t make sense, when it is impossible for you to rejoice, that is where and when it is most potent. That is where grace comes in. Receive the grace.
