2024/2025 OPERATION 18-18 – (CAUSE ME TO ESCAPE II)

There is no challenge that God cannot correct within the shortest time. If it took God only six days to create the entire world, then, he is not limited at all in what he can do. However, the greatest challenge of man is man himself. A perfect man was placed in a perfect environment with just one command failed. Unfortunately, man has been struggling with that.

God does not violate the will of anyone. There are five different types of wills. It is not the will of God that any man should perish but people are dying daily and still going to hell. Whose will is that? What should have been the greatest blessing of man became his nemesis. Why? God did not create a robot. He said, let us make man in our image after our likeness.

The highest level of love is “make”. Any love that does not make will mar. True love ennobles. The greatest you can be is to be like God who said let us make man in our image and likeness. Remember that that was the greatest ambition of Lucifer in Isaiah 14. In the five ‘I wills’ of Lucifer, the climax was, I will be like the most high. All he wanted with passion was what God decided on his own, out of love, to give to man. Everything Adam wanted was given to him and so he learnt to take God for granted. He was not a worshipper; his will was not yielded to the will of the Father. There was no where Adam actually worshipped. God was the one taking the initiative.

God decided to give him a help mate and when Adam woke up from deep sleep and saw a beautiful woman, he only performed a naming ceremony without appreciation. Ingratitude! That, in my opinion, is the first sin. The snake was supposed to be a beast of the field, where was Adam when it entered into the garden? When he could not keep that command given to him and fell, he decided to pass buck. Unfortunately, man acquired the fallen nature of Adam.

But thank God for his love for us. Rather than wipe away the adamic stock and re-create, God chose, instead, to come through the means of grace. He had mercy. He showed love. He gave the salvation package through the first messianic prophecy in Gen. 3:15,

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Genesis 3:15, KJV

God was already seeing redemption through his wisdom, a recreation, a new creation, a new specie of human being. Today, everyone is still struggling with the adamic nature. That was why Jesus said, if you want to be my disciple, take up the cross daily and follow me. The cross is the meeting place between the path of mercy and truth (Psa. 25:10). It is the meeting place between the will of God and the will of man and for the first time, when the will of God crossed with the will of man, man submitted. The cross is the symbol of perfect submission to the will of God. It didn’t just happen by chance. In John 4:34, Jesus said,

“My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”

How can you say you are a Christian and you are not a true worshipper? It is an anomaly, an aberration. If you are not ready to do the will of God, then don’t bother to come to Church. That is one of the reasons why some of us frown at the lion and eagle theology. The truth is that no lion can do the will of the Master; lion is self willed, eagle is self willed.

The divine prescription for the recreation of the fallen world is the Cross, you have no right to make an alternative prescription. A lion is not submissive. The erroneous theology that the lion is the symbol of submission is faulty, it is wrong and that is one of the reasons why it is difficult to engage in any meaningful business relationship with a lot of Christians today without being cheated.

However, I see a new revival coming and that is why God is stirring up a great revival and I believe that this is the revival that will usher in the second coming of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We need to break away from certain things in order to reach out for what God has for us.

Pray –

• Father, help me to break away from anything that is holding me down; anything that does not want me to be all you want me to be, anything that wants to cheat me out of my blessings that you have prepared for me, help me to break loose, help me to escape in Jesus name.
