SUNDAY SERVICE

RETURN TO THE ALMIGHTY 1B

Every true God chaser pants after God. If you have ever seen how a deer pants after the water, you will understand better. You can tell a worshipper by the way he enters the Church and you can also tell a worker. The difference is always clear.

The word of God is so rich, so deep, so wise, there is no wisdom that can rival the word from above.

The greatest problem people have today is that of connection; a lot of people are so loosely connected that they end up questioning the existence of God. God still exists. Does electricity still exist? It exists for only the people who know how to make the connection. A wrong connection can even electrocute but a good connection will electrify. That is exactly how it is with God. Wherever there is proper connection, there will be proper flow. Wherever there is proper flow, there will be perfect deposits. You can imagine the things God can deposit. In this ministry, I am so excited that we have no dignity to protect but divinity to promote.

“If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.”
Job 22:23-30, KJV

Take note of the first word in this passage; God will not force you to return. He will not force you to do anything. He will not force anyone to obey his commands because he has given us a free will. Your right to choose, he does not abuse. God created man after his own image and after his likeness, part of that image and likeness is free will. You have the right to choose between good and evil, right and wrong.

In this passage, you will notice the commands, the results and the benefits. God the Father is calling on his children to return to him.

Matt. 11:28 is also a call to return. God the Son said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. Those who labour should desire rest, they should be hungry and thirsty for rest. It can be so easy to get so carried away by one’s programmes in life that one forgets God entirely. The system of this world is designed to make that happen and it can become habitual.

Rev. 22:17 says,

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
Revelations 22:17, KJV

The Spirit and the bride say, Come. Have you ever noticed that powerful people don’t waste words? There are four words in “Let there be light”, and there was light. Everything God created obeys God except man. Meditate on this.

TO BE CONTINUED.
