RETURN TO THE ALMIGHTY 1D

3. The benefits are boundless.
When God says, return, it is because he has something in store for you; he has something better than you realize and recognize, something better than you can imagine. God has not called you for nought.

You may ask the question, how do I return to the Almighty?

1. Acquaint yourself with God.

Job 22:21, “Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee”. Become an acquaintance of God. Get to know him. Develop friendship with God the Holy Spirit. Matt. 11:29, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls”. Jesus said, learn of me. Strive to know more of God that you may have more of him. This is very important. It is a life-long assignment. Intentionally learn of God. That is the meaning of theology. Theo means God, logos means know. Just as biology is the study of life, theology is the study of God. God has called us all to study, to learn of him. If you don’t know me, you will not understand me and you will not get the best from me. The same applies to your friends and your spouse. It is when people don’t know God that they go about looking for a God that was never missing in the first place and they end up in the synagogue of satan. There is a law called the law of recognition, you cannot connect to what you have not recognized. What you have not recognized cannot bless you. The greatest altar ever raised is the altar of our Lord Jesus Christ on mount Calvary, the rugged cross. That is why it is so easy for man to miss. You need to connect. What you don’t recognize cannot bless you. One of the reasons why many miracles don’t happen in some cathedrals is because the people are too familiar with the pastor. Don’t get too familiar with the anointing so that you can still connect properly. Remember that God is the almighty but a lot of people commonize him and reduce him to their size and as such, they miss out. This is how disconnection starts. May you not reduce God to your size in the name of Jesus. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob can never be your classmate.

Meditate on the almightiness of God – Who is this God? If you know him, you will have reverential fear of him. If you know him, you will love him. If you know him, you will honour him. If you know him, you will respect his word.
