LIVING IN THE POWER OF THE RISEN LORD IV

In the world today, everything is upside down – you do in order to be. But in God’s kingdom, you must first be and then your being will produce. In the world today, if you know how to dance very well, you will become a dancer, if you sing well, you will become a singer, if you can teach, you will become a teacher, if you preach, you will become a preacher. So, the easiest way to become is to start doing even if you are just cutting and nailing.

In God’s kingdom, it is different. True worship is being so fanatically in love with God that the idea of substituting that love for anything else does not even remotely exist. This was typified in the life of Mary Magdalene, John the beloved and even in the life of Peter, the erratic. He was erratic but he loved Jesus deep enough.

Just think for a moment how the disciples of Jesus must have felt when he was crucified. They must have had sleepless nights; after abandoning everything for three and half years to follow Jesus. Peter was a seasoned fisherman who went back to his profession after Jesus was crucified. Your career is good you don’t have to abandon it but the best you can be is to be who God has made you and the best place you can be is in the presence of God. The best motive is the motive of love. The greatest love is the love of God. Purposeful life is a life that is in tandem with what God created you to be and to do.

Jesus reveals himself to those who deeply love him because true love will put you in the right place. If you love God, you will make out time to be in his presence. If you love him, you will go a step further and that will propel you to be at the right place where you can meet with him. God is omnipresent but you don’t meet him everywhere. There is a place called there; he said there, I will meet with you. This is part of the weapon that the devil is using to make things difficult of a lot of people.

There are people today who should be in this country but are in Europe doing jobs that they would not do in their own country. It is welcome to suffering; they are always busy trying to earn money. When will they have time for God? There is no life in this. May your children not become economic refugees in a strange land. Our children will be treated with dignity in the name of Jesus. When you are at the place where God has placed you, your genius emerges.

If you misplace value, you will choose wrongly. You cannot be a true worshipper if you don’t value God. You cannot be a lover of Christ if you don’t value him. It is all about value. Faith is correct placement of value in your relationship with God. Worship is ‘worthship’. How much is your relationship with God worth? May your life become theocentric in the mighty name of Jesus. Mary Magdalene’s life was centred on Christ, it revolved around Christ. Love will make you place enough value; you cannot love and be indifferent. Show me a person who is in love and I will show you a person who is passionate.
