BEWARE OF THE ORNAMENTS OF DEFILEMENT III

“And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was clothed with filty garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by. And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.”

Zechariah 3:1-7, KJV

Joshua the high priest was plucked out of fire. Whenever you are plucked out of fire, coldness sets in. He was clothed with filthy garments. It was by divine intervention that Joshua got a change of raiment. May you not worship God with filthy garments in the name of Jesus. Everyone has a spiritual garment; many times people pay more attention to their physical outfit and outlook while overlooking their spiritual clothing. Many times people want God to bless them when they are decked in filthy garments.

Take note of the following: –

1. Defilement is an open invitation to satan and to his demons.
Working in deliverance ministry is the best thing that happened to me because it made me not to be careless and also not to judge by sight knowing that all that glitters is not gold. The moment you come to me with an ornament, I will remove my eyes from you and focus more on the ornament. I start asking very important questions. This is because it is only something that is not perfect that you tend to make up and repackage. Take a very good look at the package; many times people buy packaged things containing rubbish. Have ever purchased something that is well packaged and very attractive on the outside but inside contained rubbish?

The world has perfected the act of packaging, in fact, packaging is a course in marketing. Today, there are so many brand ambassadors spreading falsehood about products that they don’t use, they make people buy things they never really needed. There is something called me-too-ism in marketing, which represents imitative behaviour, often lacking originality used to gain approval or maintain competitiveness. You don’t need to do things because others are doing it. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, a special package from the throne of grace. God did not make a mistake in creating you.

Don’t allow anyone devalue you; you are complete the way you are. You don’t need any attachment to be beautiful. True beauty actually flows from within, it is not an outside-in thing it is inside out. That is the beauty that endures. If you are not yet married, then take note that physical appearance can bring two people of opposite sex together but what makes marriage succeed is character. The you in you that makes you who you are is your true personality that differentiates you from everyone else.
