BEWARE OF THE ORNAMENTS OF DEFILEMENT VII

One of the things that the people who propagate “give me your gold and I will make you a god” employ is lie telling. This is because they have no character. If you see anyone who believes the false philosophy that the end justifies the means, take note that that person is dangerous. Run away from him. There is nothing such a person cannot do for money. All it takes to commit murder is just one demon, meanwhile, some people have up to six thousand inside of them, despite the fact that they speak good English, ride good cars, some even have private jets.

Gehazi told lies. Elisha’s response shows that there are eyes in the heart. Gehazi collected all the ornaments of defilement and also collected Naaman’s leprosy. What a lot of people call opportunity today is nothing but leprosy. Why are people so desperate to get political offices today particularly in African nations? The motive definitely is not to go and serve. Do you know that if God’s endorsement is not on anything, that thing is not good for you? What Gahazi thought was an opportunity ended up in leprosy.

Today, money has been elevated to another level. The definition of success has been skewed to mean that you must grab it at all cost. A lot of people today believe that Churches are set up to make money. Not so for us, this ministry is not a money making venture. If God connects you to this fellowship, you are highly favoured and blessed beyond curse.

What is the cause of this error? Misplacement of value! Anywhere value is misplaced, anywhere you have devaluation idolatry is inevitable; that is why I hate devaluation with passion. You cannot devalue what God treasures. I hate it because God hates it. It is a wicked spirit that drives people to hell; it makes people feel that they have arrived when they are rotting in hell. The worst part of it is that it is generational; they display ornaments of defilement to their doom and to the doom of their children. The curses that follow them are generational.

In the course of ministry, I have seen people who before now had above five houses but today are begging to feed. They were into very bad businesses when they built the houses, displaying ornaments of defilement. It is only after giving their lives to Christ that they had purpose, peace, they no longer have the properties but they have what money cannot buy.

Elisha placed value on the anointing that was why he asked his master Elijah for double portion. He was committed to the point of followership with dedication – hard sincere followership. Where can you find this today? So many general overseers are seeking for successors but many have not found any because it is not by democratic election but by divine ordination. It is by hard sincere followership. Can you still find this today? If your heart is tied to money, how can you be a true follower of Christ?

A very rich man approached Jesus and asked to be his follower. Jesus asked him to go and sell everything he had and then come and follow him. The man ran away. The prescription was too hard for him. Any message that is not bringing out the best in you and crucifying carnality and destroying ornaments of defilement is not preparing you for heaven. Heaven is not a place where you display ornaments of defilement.

Do you know how serious this is? Just because Elisha could not find a successor to hand over to, he went to the grave with the double portion of the anointing that he got from Elijah. Today, if you ask people to choose between money and the anointing, the outcome will shock you.
