DOMINION OVER THE SPIRIT OF DIVINATION VIII

5. Ignorance.
Anyone who is unteachable will always be ignorant. Whoever is full of self is ignorant because who is it that you are that God did not make you? What is it that you have that you were not given and if given, why behave as if you are the giver or owner? Every manifestation of pride is demonstration of deep seated ignorance. You need to dethrone self for God to take over. You need to align with the will of God for him to lift you. You need to acknowledge your nothingness without him.

There are different levels of ignorance – ignorance of who you are in Christ, ignorance of what Christ has done, ignorance of the word of God. A lot of Christians do not know the word of God. How can you know God if you don’t know his word? God has magnified his word above all his name (Psa. 138:2). Your best evangelism is your lifestyle. Fall in love with God. Embrace him. It will be the best decision you ever made. Let every blessing God gives you draw you closer to him.

The secret of divine elevation is purity. Nobody takes the Church seriously anymore because the Church has gone into syncretism. It is not every open door that a child of God must embrace; some are satan’s trap.

6. Wrong association.
Study the story of Jehoshaphat and Ahab in 1 Kg. 22. You must not team up with those whom God has earmarked for destruction. May your path not cross with anyone who is not on the blessing side of windows of heaven in the name of Jesus.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law doeth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away”. 

Psalm 1:1-4, KJV

Verse 6, “For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction” (NLT).

It is wisdom to break away from wrong associations. When God said, do not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever, he said it out of love. The Father loves you. He knows the end from the beginning. He knows that an unbeliever cannot be a perfect husband for a righteous wife, he does not have what it takes. It is all about this syncretism – mixture of strange spirits. A congregation of the ungodly cannot attract the presence of God. The fire of the Holy Ghost cannot fall on a congregation of all manner of spirits; the only thing you can have in such congregation is strange fire not pure fire. Break away from every evil association if you want to go far. Jehoshaphat almost lost his life because he teamed up with an Ahab.
