OPERATION 18:18,  SUNDAY SERVICE

AS THE DEAR PANTS AFTER THE WATER BROOKS III

PRAYERS CONT’D
  • Make it impossible for us to put the wrong foot forward. Do not allow us to park when we have not started. Take us to the promised land in the name of Jesus.
  • Deliver us from anything that binds, anything that fetters, anything that hinders, anything that does not want us to be all that you want us to be.
  • Grant us grace to see opportunity where you have placed us here and to keep posting gold, keep positing silver, keep posting precious stones, treasures to heaven in the name of Jesus.
  • Grant us grace to lay heavenly treasure while we are here. Let our heaven begin from now. Help us, Lord, never to set our affections on the things below.
  • Show us the things we need to release so that we can live above only and never beneath. Thank you everlasting Father. We love you. We belong to you forever, in Jesus name.

“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance … Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

Everybody’s heart is panting after something. One of the things that the devil specializes in doing is perversion, perverting focus. When the devil perverts the love that should connect one to the One whose other name is Love, when that perversion is perfected, the resultant effect is lust.

Anywhere you find perversion of love, you have lust. Instead of the heart panting after God, you will see the heart lusting after the things of this world; lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life. That is the origin of corruption, corruption works through lust. That is why those who try to fight corruption superficially don’t make much progress, they themselves are corrupt and they don’t even know it.

You cannot solve any problem you have wrongly defined. That is the case of some African nations where you have very deeply corrupt people trying to fight corruption and so you see the contradictions. God will help us to adjust our lives properly; though we are in this clime, may we not be like this clime.
