One of the greatest legacies you can leave for your children is the legacy of intercession. It is so important to God that God the Father is an intercessor. God the Son is an intercessor. God the Holy Spirit is an intercessor. In Luke 18, Jesus gave a parable to the end that men ought always to pray and not to faint. That means if you are not praying, you are actually fainting.

God’s prescription for prayer is – pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17), nonstop because God moves when you pray. A prayerless person is a powerless person. A prayerful person is a powerful person. Anywhere you find miracles happening without prayer, check it. It is nothing but magic.

What is the difference between a miracle and a magic? Magic is satan’s counterfeit of the original. Miracle is a wonderful sensible event, above but not contradictory to nature, which is done by divine intervention. How do you get God to intervene? It is through prayer. Prayer is the foundation.

If the Son of God who had no blemish or sin needed to pray serious prayer, who are you not to pray in a world of sin, in a world that is sick, in a world that is full of perversion and wickedness of the highest order. Jesus was very disciplined, he was always having ‘early morning conference’ with his Father. In fact, one of the Bible translations said it is the secret of his power.

If you are not properly connected to God, you are really cheating yourself. If you are connected, you must be faithful. God rewards faithfulness, he does not reward titles but faithfulness. I realized that early enough when I made up my mind to serve God. I told myself that I was not going to play any games. I give God all the glory.

I was baptized by fire in 1985 when the Holy Spirit invaded my room, announced himself and took me out of the room. He made the sign of the cross on my hand and the fire burnt for three days and stopped but resurfaced some years after. This fire has continued to burn till date to the glory of God. This fire is real, it burns with tangible demonstrable signs and wonders to the glory and praise and honour of his name.
