CONFRONTING WITCHCRAFT III

Authority is delegated power. We are going to use this delegated power to enforce the righteousness that Christ has given us. The greatest symbol of dominion be it over witchcraft, be it over sin, self, satan and all his works, powers, rulers of darkness, the greatest symbol of dominion over darkness remains the cross of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Never forget that the victory of the cross is our victory. Get ready to strike the winning blow.

“And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of the sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds: And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.”

Witchcraft is a stronghold phenomenon. Witchcraft goes very well with idolatry. If you have to deal with witchcraft, you have to go to the cross. There is no dominion without the cross. It is at the cross that we exchange our idolatry for the perfect worship, we exchange our sins for Christ’s righteousness; we exchange our foolishness for his wisdom. It is a place of limitless exchange. We exchange our rebellion for his submission. It was at the cross that submission was one hundred percent accomplished, so it is the symbol of submission. That is where we take our cue if we have to be effective in spiritual warfare. It was at the cross that the blood was shed. That blood speaks, it thunders.
