DAY 3 The Acceptable Fast
Text – Isa. 58:1-14 There are some principles in this scripture that we need to take note of. From vs 3-5, we see the kind of fast that is not acceptable to God and from verse 6-12, we see the kind of fast well pleasing to God. The fault with the first kind of fasting lies mainly in the motive and attitudes of those practicing it. What is your motive and attitude to this particular fast? God described the serpent as a piercing serpent. Once you deal with the serpent of hardship, there will be fruitfulness, there will be rejoicing, there will be celebration and songs. That is what God is about to release into your life; he is about to deal with the piercing serpent. Nobody can deal with the leviathan better than God. DOMINION OVER THE SPIRITS OF THE WORLD
Scriptures: Rev. 2:1-7, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 3:14-17,19 & Rev. 3:21-22 This year is our year of comprehensive dominion. No one can have comprehensive dominion who has not learnt to discern spirits. Until you dominate the ruling spirits, you will not dominate your environment. We have established that comprehensive dominion can only be achieved through Christ; in other words, if there is any institution through which comprehensive dominion should naturally flow, it is the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ.
