DAY 3 The Acceptable Fast
Text – Isa. 58:1-14 There are some principles in this scripture that we need to take note of. From vs 3-5, we see the kind of fast that is not acceptable to God and from verse 6-12, we see the kind of fast well pleasing to God. The fault with the first kind of fasting lies mainly in the motive and attitudes of those practicing it. What is your motive and attitude to this particular fast? God is interested in motives and attitudes. Fasting was mainly an acceptable part of religious ritual, the kind of fasting practiced by the Pharisees. Fasting without real repentance or self-humility. They continued with all…

UNBELIEF & WRONG BELIEF III
There is a popular saying that all roads lead to heaven. This saying refers only to the atmospheric heaven and not the heaven of heavens where God dwells. All ways lead to heaven but only one way leads to God. There is only one Mediator – Jesus Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus stated categorically that no one comes to the Father except through Him. In law, if you specify something, you exclude the other. CONFRONTING THE GATES OF HELL VII -UNBELIEF & WRONG BELIEF
Rev. 21:8 – “But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”. The fearful, unbelieving, abominable and all those listed above are all heading to hell, their final destination. Unbelief is a very wide gate. Think of the billions of souls trapped in unbelief and wrong belief. Every step a person in unbelief takes is taking him further down to hell. Billions of souls are trapped in unbelief. Think of the atheist – those who say, there is no God, the Bible…

Confronting the gates of Hell VI- Unforgiveness
“Deliverance is a process and not a one-time event”. Grace is not static, it is something you grow in. it is growth in your work with God. There are so many misconceptions of grace. True grace is not a license to sin, true grace enables us to live above sin, hate what God hates. True grace is divine empowerment for dominion over sin. We cannot continue in sin that grace may abound. God forbid. it was Paul, the apostle of grace that said this. Another common error is that Christianity is not right living but right believing. This huge error promotes sin. Right believing and right living are not mutually…
