Four conditions of the heart are mentioned in this passage and everyone fit into one of these. There is a fifth condition which was not mentioned in the parable of the sower but in the book of Psalms 56:5. Only one out of these heart conditions is perfect. 1. The wayward heart. One of the characteristics of a wayward person is lack of commitment, another is lack of focus, indiscipline, irresponsibility, disobedience, carelessness and so on. The Bible says submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he shall flee from you (James 4:7). The problem today is that many people start resisting without submission. If the hand of God is upon your life, you are made. If you are walking with God, your life can only get better. PRAYERS CONT’D The fact that Jesus resurrected is a testament to the fact that there is nothing the adversary has done that God cannot undo. The errors and sorrows of satan are multiplied because he is not omniscient. Had he known, he wouldn’t have allowed Jesus to be crucified. By allowing him who was guiltless to taste death, he destroyed the hold he had over man because sin is the sting of death.
