CELEBRATING THE LORD ON HIGH IV

The cross is the greatest display of grace, the greatest demonstration of the love of God, the greatest symbol of the way. The paths of God are mercy and truth; it was on the cross that mercy and truth kissed each other (Psa. 25:10). If you miss the cross, there is no way for you. Take me to the cross and I will find my way home. The Church started missing it when she began to belittle the message of the cross and people began to magnify and extrapolate and over emphasize grace. If you stretch grace, you will produce error that will lead to disgrace. How did those that had so much grace like Samson and Gehazi end? Gehazi would have carried the double portion anointing that was upon Elisha who carried the double portion anointing that was upon Elijah. But how did Gehazi end? In disgrace! How did Samson end? In disgrace! King Nebuchadnezzar ended in disgrace, from grace to grass!

It is true that we are in the dispensation of grace but grace is not a licence to live anyhow. It is an empowerment to live right. That is the true meaning of grace. I believe strongly that a special place would be reserved for those who carry the Bible to hell! That is why we need to be careful, especially after hearing the bride’s message which is not a cheap message. It does not cajole you but it is the only message that keeps you on the way of the cross. It is the only message that keeps referring you to the cross. That is the only way. There is no ascension without resurrection. There is no resurrection without crucifixion.

Jesus’ prescription for discipleship is self denial, take up the cross daily and follow me (Luke 9:23). It is not cheap. There is no cheap Christianity anywhere except the one that is presented to the world today. Don’t lower the standard of the word of God to your size. Stretch like Zaccheaus. Climb to the stature of Christ and Jesus will come to you. The crime is never in missing it; the crime is in refusing to change. There are so many unteachable people all over the place today. Anyone who is not ready to make heaven is not welcome in this ministry. Our salvation is free but not cheap, it cost God his very best!
