DOMINION OVER SPIRITUAL BLOCKADES

A lot of blessings have been released but they are either hanging, blocked, hijacked, stolen, kidnapped or embargoed. The forces of blockade are very wicked and if possible, they will block even the air.

What are the causes of spiritual blockade?

1. Disobedience – this is a very major issue with Christians today. God is a thrice-holy God and he insists on one hundred percent obedience. Lev. 26:14-18. There is progressive judgment for the sin of disobedience. If Christians will realize the negative effect of disobeying God, no one will disobey him even at gunpoint. If the Church learns to teach people first and foremost, the love of God, it will be easier to teach them obedience. Obedience should proceed from a heart of love and not from fear of punishment; you should obey God because you cannot afford to offend him. One of the deepest lessons I have learnt over time in the ministry of deliverance is the understanding of the spiritual nature of things, I have come to realize that things don’t just happen, most often than not, they have spiritual connotations. Today, many Christians profess that they are no longer under the law; this cannot be true because every new testament Christian is under two laws. The first is the law of sowing and reaping. Gal. 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. It is a universal law for both Christians and unbelievers. The second is the law of the spirit of life. Rom. 8:2 “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death”. People love to quote the first verse of this scripture while they neglect the verse 2. There is the law of sin and death. Disobedience has its consequences, God hates and judges it. You must come to the realization that God is not only the God of mercy; he is also the God that judges sin. If you study Deut. 28:1-14, you will discover that all the blessings enumerated there are predicated on obedience. The consequences of disobedience are spelt out from verses 15-68.
2. Breaking of Covenants. Are you a covenant breaker? Then you are positioning yourself against God. Covenant breaking leads to blocked heavens. Many people break covenants so easily without even giving it a thought, they make promises they don’t intend to fulfil. Breaking of covenant has very serious implications; it is one of the causes of spiritual blockade. Lev. 26:25-26. God detests it. Today, people break the marriage oath very easily without any remorse; meanwhile, it has a lot of serious consequences. Whenever and wherever covenants are broken, demons gain free access to people’s lives. Remember that their mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy. This is one of the reasons why businesses that are doing well before marriage begin to experience failure or difficulties after the persons concerned get married. God wants his children to have integrity. The Bible says in Rom. 8:9^b says, “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his”. In fact, some translations say he is not a Christian at all! God hates any form of dishonesty, whether in business or in our daily interactions. One of the judgments against breaking of covenants (dishonesty) is that the staff of bread will be broken.
3. Curses – anywhere there is a curse, the heavens are blocked. Curses bring blockade. A nation can be under a curse, a city can be under a curse, a family can be under a curse; an individual can be under a curse. There is nothing like bad luck in the Bible, what we have is there is either blessings or curses. Prov. 3:33 says “The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just”. God does not have intermediary, if you obey, you get blessings if you disobey, judgment comes in the form of curses. It is self-acting; it is like a programme. You need to know that for every decision, there is a price. God has given you a free will but you must ponder before you use it. A curse may be defined as a pronouncement demanding destruction, punishment or judgment of a person or something, sometimes because of a wrong done against the person making the pronouncement. The curse that is self-acting is even more dangerous than the one that is pronounced.
4. Activities of satan and his agents. Most people love to attribute their problems to this but it is not always true; this is because your cooperation is even needed for satan to operate. We know that satan is like a roaring lion looking for whom he may devour, we know that he is a thief and a murderer but God has given you a free will and at times, satan comes to operate because people actually invited him. It is very wrong for Christians not to take responsibility for their actions. When David was confronted with his sin, he did not blame satan for his actions; he acknowledged his wrong doing and begged God for mercy. Psa. 51. Even in the place of repentance, if we are not truthful by accepting responsibility for our actions, then we are not ready to be forgiven. This is one of the reasons why problems linger. It is not all repentance that is acceptable. If you don’t have truth in the inner man then you are not genuinely repentant and the basis for reconciliation with God is genuine repentance. More often than not, many people are their own greatest enemy. Always look inwards. That is the best place to start before you begin to look outside. Indeed, there are spirits involved – satan and his agents, but they have to be allowed.
