A WONDERFUL INHERITANCE
The Lord himself is my inheritance, my prize. He is my food and drink, my highest joy!
He guards all that is mine. He sees that I am given pleasant brooks and meadows as my share! What a wonderful inheritance! I will bless the Lord who counsels me, he gives me wisdom in the night. He tells me what to do,
I am always thinking of the Lord; and because he is so near, I never need to stumble or to fall. (Psalm 16: 5-8 TLB)
The greatest inheritance anyone can have is the Lord himself. From time to time it will pay to set aside some moments to ponder on what a wonderful inheritance we have in Christ Jesus. I believe this will draw you closer to Christ. Some components of our wonderful heritage are listed below:
A child of god (Romans 8:16)
Redeemed from the hand of the enemy (Psalm 107:2)
Forgiven (Colossians 1: 13-14)
Saved by Grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8)
Justified (Romans 5:1)
Sanctified (I Corinthians 5:7)
A new creature (II Corinthians 5:17)
Partaker of His Divine Nature (II Peter 1:4)
Redeemed from the curse of the Law (Galatians 3:13)
Delivered from the powers of darkness (Colossians 1:13)
