REDEEMED FROM POVERTY
”Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree; that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Galatian 3:13-14 KJV)
Jesus was made a curse that we might enter into Abraham’s blessing. According to the law of Moses as detailed in the book of Deuteronomy, everyone who is put to death by hanging is under a curse. Christ had to become a curse for us in order to redeem us from the curse of the Law.
According to Deuteronomy 28:15-17, 38-40, the curse of poverty was to come upon God’s children if they disobeyed Him. Jesus was completed in obedience . He is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of man, according to John 1:29. Jesus endured our poverty that we might partake of His supernatural abundance. What a wonderful exchange!
”For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” (2 Corithians 8:9 KJV)
It pays to regularly visit the cross of Calvary, in order to exchange every trace of our poverty for Christ’s riches. The Bible says:
”But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
All your needs include financial and material things. Teaching in Matthew 6:33 Jesus says:
”But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.”
While it is very wrong to elevate the love of material things above the love of God in our hearts (for that is idolatry), we must not shy away from accessing the fullness of the blessings of redemption. To be rich means to have a full supply or to be abundantly provided for. Praise God, there is a full supply in Christ.

Go to the cross. Exchange (1) Your scarcity/lack for Christ’s supernatural abundance. (2) Poverty for His RICHES.
