FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
”Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life where unto thou art also called, and hath professed a good profession before many witnesses”’. (1 Timothy 6:12)
As believers we are not called to walk on red carpets in the world as some would want to imagine; we are called to trample upon snakes and scorpions. We have authority over the enemy. Glory to God nothing shall by any means hurt us. See Luke 10:19). We are not to fight useless, carnal battles, we are to fight the good fight of faith. Always bear in mine that:
– Your battle is always for a reason.
– Your battle is always for a season.
– Your battle is your chance for recognition both in heaven and hell.
It is pertinent to develop an overcomers’ mentality. Like the psalmist you can say:
”Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my finger to fight” (Psalm 144:1). Though crises and battle are not always your choice, WINNING is. That is why faith in God is so vital.
God uses the time of battle to educate you about :
– Himself
– Your assignment
– Your enemy.
You will never outgrow warfare, you simply must learn to fight. Losers focus on war, but champions focus on the spoil of war. Battle is simply meeting opposition on the road to a miracle. The only people who are rewarded in heaven are overcomers.
”He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment………(Revelation 3:5, 12, 21).
P R A Y E R
Dear Heavenly Father, I worship you; for you are good and your mercy endures forever, your faithfulness to all generations. Thank you for the generous provisions you have made for my well being here and hereafter. You are the LORD mighty in battle; God of Israel you can never fail. You can never lose. I hand over to you all challenges confronting me. (Mention them). I proclaim that I overcome them by the Blood of Jesus Christ God’s Son and by the Word of my testimony; in Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
