DOMINION BY THE THUNDER OF HIS POWER

Psa. 66:7-8 “He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard”. One of the ways to connect to God is to praise him and make the voice of his praise to be heard. The moment you purpose in your heart to walk with God according to his terms, you have made a connection; a purposeful decision.

Psa. 29:1-11 says, “Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth everyone speak of his glory. The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King forever. The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace”. Connection is through worship. There is beauty in holiness. Remember that true holiness is loving God and going out of your way to please him; it involves loving what he loves and hating what he hates. Verse 3 says, “the God of glory thundereth”, thundereth here implies continuous thundering. Worship is one of the most important ways to connect.

How do you connect? You connect through placement of value. God knows when your heart is truly connected to him and that is when the power will flow, that is when the voice of God will thunder. Improper connection is the greatest undoing of man. Jesus could not perform much miracle in his home town because as far as they were concerned Jesus was just the son of Mary and Joseph the Carpenter.The anointing you trivialize cannot do much for you.

Many people do not take the words of Psa. 66:18 seriously and so they carry so much iniquity in their heart. “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”. The thunder of God’s power can be blocked by iniquity. The heart is capable of conceiving all manner of things. The only person that can limit God is you and until you have this revelation, you will keep looking for external enemy.
