COVENANT OF DIVINE HEALTH AND HEALING.

Prayer is one of the most important seeds that anybody can sow. It is so beneficial that it can even outlive the person that prays, this is because certain blessings are generational. Prayer is spiritual programming; if you can pray well, you can do all things. It is a wonderful privilege to have access to the One who truly can take care of us; One who loves us so much and has all it takes. There is no limitation with Him. This is the beauty of our relationship with God. May we optimize our relationship with our Father, in Jesus name. The only thing that can limit you is you; if you don’t connect properly and if you choose to be partial in obedience. Partial obedience is disobedience. We should realize that the word of God is for our ultimate benefit.

Psa. 4:20-23 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thine heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” There is the health dimension in the word of God. Health is superior to healing, health is a better state to operate from than healing. When you walk in divine health, you don’t need a physician; sickness is far away from you but when you require healing, it means that you are already sick. Choose to be healthy. Those who are healthy have no need of a physician. There is a place for the physician in God’s scheme but that place is at the bottom of the scale, the number one thing on the scale is health. God’s programme for his children is abundant health.

In the Garden of Eden, man was not supposed to be sick, it was a perfect state. What brought sickness was sin. If we attend to the word of God and become one hundred percent compliant, we are guaranteed of good health. Comprehensive health is part of God’s package for his children. When Jesus died on the cross, the curse was broken. Curse came as a result of disobedience. That is why the cure for sickness is complete obedience. Partial obedience is worse than total disobedience because the one who is partial in obedience thinks that he is complete in obedience.

The key to good health, therefore, is one hundred percent obedience. It is a command; an instruction for your good. What brought all the curses was one disobedience. What brought redemption of man was one man who was complete in obedience; his blood has atoned for every curse. If you look at the curse of the law, you will find all manner of terrible things such as sicknesses, diseases, woes, death (both physical and spiritual), poverty, scarcity, lack and so on. But Jesus redeemed us from all these. Our redemption is comprehensive not partial.

There are about five reasons why Christians suffer and fall sick

1. Sin. Sin is an acronym for simple instructions neglected; simple instructions not obeyed. Another man of God says sin means satan in our nature. Sin brings sickness, sin strips man naked and makes the glory to depart. Sin programmes man for all manner of terrible woes. Any time you fall ill, no matter how minute, if you know what Christ has done for you and you are a child of God and you want to appropriate the blessings of redemption, the first thing you need to do is to look inwards. Do I have any unconfessed sin in my life? If there is, confess it, be as specific as you possibly can and pray from your heart. That is the first step. Appropriate the blood of Jesus for cleansing after which you will appropriate the redemptive ministry of the blood of Jesus.
2. Ignorance. Ignorance is a disease on its own. A simple definition of ignorance is lack of knowledge. The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge …”. The scope of ignorance is, however, wider than this. Ignorance is not only the lack of knowledge but also all true beliefs and all erroneous beliefs not amounting to knowledge. Many people die as a result of ignorance. Many people die as a result of wrong prescription resulting from wrong diagnosis even in the best of hospitals. That is why it is better to walk in divine health. Your best physician is the Word of God according to Prov. 4:20-23. Take the health that is in the word of God. The Holy Spirit is a healing spirit. Wherever he moves, there will be all manner of healings. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Ghost and power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38. God is interested in your comprehensive well being and he has made ample provisions for this in his word. It is very important for us to take delivery of this. You cannot change what you tolerate. A lot of people are in bondage because of expert opinion. One of the things you should understand is that what killed your Father does not necessarily have to kill you. Did your Father have an encounter with Jesus? Did he have an encounter with the word of God? The Bible says through knowledge shall the just be delivered. (Prov. 11:9^b). Knowledge is so important that it is mentioned several times in the New Testament.
3. Satan and his demons; activities of satanic agents. Agents of darkness spread sickness. Jesus once cast out a devil in a man that was deaf and dumb and the man began to speak and hear clearly. Mark 9:25. What was responsible for his ailment? I have witnessed classical healings take place in the place of deliverance. Some people dream of terrible things happening to them and when they wake up, those things begin to manifest physically. There is no medical solution for a spiritual sickness, the only viable solution to a spiritual sickness is Jesus. We have had cases of serious sicknesses that dissolved in the place of prayer and deliverance. You need to be spiritually consolidated in the environment where you operate; don’t be a civilian if you don’t want to be a victim. The essence of this message is to help you discover how to take delivery of the healing anointing that is in the word of God. Chew it. There is no abundant life for the sick, you need to first of all be healthy before you can talk about abundant life. Spiritually, people get attacked but sometimes people get sick especially in the dark places of the world today as a result of evil arrows and evil projections. There are agents of darkness everywhere who are distributing all manner of terrible sicknesses. By the grace of God, if you handle it spiritually, it will dissolve and will never re-appear.
4. Carelessness. If the devil cannot get you to sin, if he cannot get you to be ignorant, if he cannot get you by sponsoring his agents against you, or by directly attacking you, he will get you to be careless. The average person is careless. People desire to have long life but on a daily basis, they eat things that can kill them even before they get to middle age. Some parents are in the habit of pumping sugar into their children by buying drinks full of sugar for them. The best drink there is is water. Most of the soda and so-called fruit juice are loaded with large quantities of sugar, sweeteners and colourants. The implication of this is that the average person is poisoning himself daily. Mind what you eat, you are becoming what you eat. It is not only the quality of food that matters but the quantity as well as the right timing. Don’t allow your carnal appetite to send you to early grave. Food has always been man’s nemesis. Analyze what you eat. Stop poisoning yourself. God has promised to satisfy us with long life; his programme for us is to bear fruit in old age but it takes discipline. Regular exercise is also very important.
5. Age. God did not design the earth for man to park; we are pilgrims here. There is a time to be born and a time to die. May the Lord grant us the grace to be satisfied with good healthy long life in the mighty name of Jesus.

Exo. 15:26 “And said, if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that health thee.” God is our healer.

Exo. 23:25, “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water, and I will take sicknesses away from the midst of thee.” Your service in God’s kingdom is one of the keys that unlock the door of divine health. Are you serving the Lord?

Psa. 119:93, “I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.” There is quickening; there is anointing in the word of God.

Rom. 8:2, “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” There are two laws in operation – the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus and the law of sin and death. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus will override the law of sin and death in the name of Jesus. Amen.
