BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 23D) – THE SEAL OF JABEZ (2)

If this prayer worked for Jabez, it can work for you because God is not a respecter of persons. In fact, it should work better for all those who are in Christ. Are you in Christ? If the blood of Christ has cleansed you, you are already the righteousness of God in Christ so this prayer should work better for you.

The prayer is God-centered. If you examine the prayer critically, you will discover that it is a prayer that started and ended with God, it is God-centric. It is a prayer of faith in God who is able to bring a turn around, faith in God who is able to change circumstances and situations, faith in God who is able to undo whatever the enemy has done. It is a prayer of faith in God who has what it takes to give you a new song. Mark 9:23, “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Are you a believer? Your prayers should carry weight.

1. You can make the Jabez model prayer an integral part of your prayer life. You should come to a point in your life when prayer becomes the oxygen you breathe if you don’t want your life to be ordinary. The more you get involved in the things of God the more you will discover the need to pray. There are different levels of spiritual warfare; there is the ground level, there is the occult level, there is the strategic level and all manner of spirits will come to resist the move of God in your life so you need prayer just as much as Jesus needed prayer. You cannot achieve much in life without prayer. God’s work is a fiery work, only burning forces can move it forward. Before God provided our present location for us, we were in a very small space, though strategically located. God told me that the place was not going to be our bus stop but only a place of spiritual incubation and I began to declare this. The place was in shambles when we wanted to move in but the Lord told me that he can transform it and that was exactly what happened. After we moved in, the place was completely transformed and other people also came to rent other parts of the building. It was not our intention to stay in the place for a long time, but we inadvertently decided to ‘settle’ there. However, God used one of the sons of the property owner to chastise us. Sometimes, God allows a shaking in order to shake you out of your comfort zone so that you can begin to pray the right prayer.

PRAY:- Heavenly father I thank You for so much grace You have made available through Your Son Jesus Christ. I ask You to empower me by Your Spirit to always pray and never to faint. I thank You for all the answered prayers in my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
