BLESSED BEYOND CURSE (PART 27I) – THE HAND OF GOD
The hand of God is the hand that will give you new songs. The hand of God is the hand of progressive transformation from glory to glory, from honour to greater honour, from faith to faith, from the earth to heaven, from grace to grace. Psa. 40:1-5 says, “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.” In this scripture, we can see how the hand of God lifted up the Psalmist out of a horrible pit; from the miry clay. This is a terrible condition in which anyone can find himself. Miry clay is bad enough but then a pit! The hand of God is a lifting hand; the first thing God did for the Psalmist was to bring him up. If God is indeed leading you, your life will go up and not down. From today, things will begin to move up in your life in the mighty name of Jesus. Take note of the progressive transformation that took place in the life of the Psalmist as a result of the hand of God. The hand of God brought him out of a horrible pit and set him on the Rock. The hand of God is the hand of establishment. Until you find the Rock, your life will still be dangling. Jesus Christ is our Rock. There are seven revelations of Jesus as the Rock that you need to have, these are – the revelation of Jesus as the Rock of our salvation, the Rock of our protection, the Rock of our preservation, the Rock of our provision, the Rock of our progression, the Rock of our perfection and the Rock of our promise. Seven is the number of perfection.
- If you don’t have the revelation of Jesus as the Rock of your salvation, there is the tendency for you to think that you are not saved. Whenever you commit a blunder or make a mistake, you may think that you have lost your salvation. People who find themselves in this situation keep answering the altar call whenever they have the opportunity. Why? This is because they do not have the assurance of salvation. Jesus is the Rock who gives you the assurance of salvation; it is no longer about you but about him.
- Without the revelation of Jesus as the Rock of your protection, you may not feel safe; your heart will fail at the slightest crises. The best place to be is in the centre of the Rock so that anything that tries to get at you will draw its own blood; that power will be completely annihilated, it cannot touch you because your life is hid with Christ in God.
- If Jesus is the Rock of your preservation, you will fear no foe. There is a slight difference between protection and preservation. To preserve means to keep something in its original form or keep it in good condition; to maintain the condition of, while to protect is to keep safe; to defend; to guard; to keep something or someone away from harm or danger. He preserves our salvation. Allow the hand of God to bring you out of the miry clay; out of hopelessness and depression. Depression is ravaging the world today; people try all sorts of things to combat it yet to no avail because they are using the wrong prescription. The greatest antidote to depression is the hand of God. If the hand of God lifts you, you will be out of the pit of depression. God preserves our goings.
Pray-
Dear heavenly Father, i worship you, i thank you for the generous provisions you have made for my well being here and here-after, through the death , burial and resurrection of your son Jesus Christ. I proclaim that Jesus Christ is my lord, personal savior, the rock and strength of my life. Amen.
