A LIVELY HOPE? I
1 PETER 1:3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
The beautiful thing about connecting to Jesus is that he is the same, yesterday, today and forever. What Jesus did in the past, he is still doing today. We can see his moves everywhere. Jesus is still at work. Jesus is still doing wonders in the lives of his people; the same miracles, the same incredible things that Jesus did of old, he is still doing today. His name is ever powerful to deliver, to bless, to heal, to restore, to perfect and to promote. In this ministry, we have seen incredible miracles – people trusting God for the fruit of the womb for years have been blessed with children, one of them gave birth to a beautiful baby girl after twenty-five years of marriage. Another couple had triplets after sixteen years of marriage. Jesus Christ is still in the business of turning impossible situations around. With him, nothing shall be impossible.
Pray:
- Jesus, remember me (mention the areas where the devil has been exerting pressure and trying to make nonsense of your testimony. The devil hates your testimony because you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony. When you have the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony, overcoming anointing begins to flow naturally. The devil hates this).
- Jesus Christ, remember me. You know where the pressure is, you know what the enemy is using to mock your image and glory in my life. Lord, I ask you to remember me and do what only you can do. Intervene and give me a new song. Change the situation O God and give me testimonies so that the world will see and consider that your hand has done it. Let this be my testimony. Thank you so much.
- I have seen you at work right from creation through the books of Genesis to Revelation. I have seen you at work in this ministry doing incredible things. Blessed be your name. May your name be praised, may your name be adored, may your name be celebrated. Thank you faithful God. Only you are worthy to receive all my praise, all adoration be unto you forever in Jesus name.
We are serving the risen Lord, we are serving the Living God. Whenever you meditate on this, it should give you strength. The only people that have hope, a living hope are those who are connected to Christ. We should be emphatic about this and not be apologetic. There is only one thing a dead person departs with – HOPE. Every person born into this world will depart with HOPE. Unfortunately, those who die without a consolidated relationship with Jesus Christ go with a dead hope and end up in hell. Those who depart with a consolidated relationship with Jesus Christ depart with a blessed hope, a lively hope. If you have loved ones who have no relationship with Christ, the only way you can prove your love is to ensure that they have a consolidated relationship with Jesus Christ in their life time.
