WALKING IN THE ANOINTING FOR BETTER THINGS 4B

The two dimensions of that anointing are: –

1. The power dimension. That is the one everyone likes. Anointing is the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God according to Isaiah 10:27. “And it shall come to pass on that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” One man of God described the anointing as the outflow of the power of God through human vessel. It flows through you to others, to bless, to touch lives, to heal, to deliver and to do the work of Christ. The power of God is not your power. Everyone wants more of it. But the anointing is like an electric current; it flows just as current flows. Before any current flows through a conductor, it has to flow through something called resistance. Just as current can be resisted, so also can the anointing be resisted. If you want to be a spiritual technocrat, take note of this. You can reduce this infinite power of God to zero by your resistance. The power of God – the anointing of the Holy Spirit can be resisted, it can be blocked. Why? The Holy Spirit is a gentle spirit. The greatest resistance to the flow of the Holy Spirit is SIN. You can attend a vigil where the power of God comes down mightily and go home with nothing! You can shut the flow. Every flow needs a connection. The greatest problem of the Church today is partial connection. In our own interest, we need to shake off certain things in order for the anointing to flow. Anywhere there is a perfect flow, there will be perfect deposits. Those who allow the Holy Spirit to use them will continue to be useful for ever while those who allow the devil to use them will be useless forever. A pastor who was also a lecturer in one of the top universities in Nigeria was recently indicted for sexual harassment after an undercover female journalist was sent on a special mission to investigate him. He was doing what other lecturers were doing. If you are a child of God, you must be careful. What others do and get away with you must not attempt to do. The Church acted promptly, intervened, investigated and replaced the Pastor in the Church he pastored. I expect the Church to extend this to other things. The church ought to call to order any pastor messing up in the seat of governance. We have a responsibility to ensure that the people we pastor do not block the flow of the anointing. You can block the flow of the anointing.
2. The wisdom dimension. The anointing of God has the power and the wisdom dimension and we need the two. Most problems in the world are wisdom problems. That is why the Bible says wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting, get understanding (Prov. 4:7). In spite of the unemployment in the country, if you carry the anointing of wisdom, if you can solve problems and you will be sought after from all over the world. You will be hired. You are paid for the problems you solve and not necessarily because of your certificates. You are as relevant as the problems you are able to solve. The anointing for better things should make you a problem solver. It is time for the Church to start raising Daniels. Daniel never canvassed for any job, he was sought after because there were problems which no magician, astrologer or economist could solve. But they identified Daniel as the man with the spirit of God, a man with the anointing. After solving the problems, he got promoted above all others. This is the model that God wants for his Church. Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge for one’s benefit and for the benefit of others. You can accumulate knowledge but if you don’t know how to apply it, it is not useful. Knowledge cannot be power unless it can fully be utilized in its refined state of applied wisdom. It is not the amount of knowledge that you have that makes you wise, it is the amount you are able to utilize to solve problems. Everything God created was created for a purpose and that purpose is to solve problems. The easiest way to become a multi billionaire in the strong currencies of the world is to solve a problem that nobody has every solved. You will become an instant hit.
