THE BATTLE OF RODS – THE ROD OF THE RIGHTEOUS 2B (LIFT UP THE ROD)
Evil is bad, once created, it becomes difficult to check, because it gets out of hand. It turns around to destroy those who created it. There is no wisdom at all in fraternizing with evil. That is why the Bible enjoins us to flee from every appearance of evil 1 Thes 5:22. Anything that is not seen in line with the word of God is evil. That is what the scripture (Jer 1:11) , by extension, means. If you see it in line with the word of God, God says yes, I will hasten it to perform it. However, if what you see is not in line with the word of God, it is evil from the north. What does that mean? Don’t you run your life as a child of God without God’s constitution which is the written word. Don’t align with anything that is not consistent with the word of God. If anyone gives you any message, always ask yourself, “Is it in line with the word of God?” If it is not in line with the word of God, then, it is evil from the north.
If you see a night vision or have a dream which is not in line with the word of God, it is evil from the north! Trash it. It shall not stand neither shall it come to pass. If any prophet or prophetess sees a vision which is not in line with the word of God, trash it because it is evil from the north. If your professor is trying to bring an ideology that is not in line with the word of God, trash it, it is evil from the north. This has been my guiding principle and it has helped me a lot. Any philosophy of life that does not align with the word of God cannot be the rod of the righteous. If it is not in line with the word of God, it cannot be by the Holy Spirit. If it is not the rod of the righteous, then it is the rod of the wicked. It is your responsibility to declare that the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous because the righteous shall not put forth their hands unto iniquity according to Psa. 125:3. You must ensure that the rod of the wicked does not operate in your domain.
The battle of the end time is the battle of rods. You’ve got the rod, display it. According to Psa. 60:4, God has given a banner to those who fear him that they may display it because of truth. The word of God is truth (John 17:17). Jesus Christ is the word personified; the incarnate word (John 1:1). So, if it is not consistent with the word of God, it is of the world; it is evil from the north. There are so many false prophets around today using the spirits that they don’t understand to deceive people. There is a spirit called the spirit of divination; this is what they use. There are true prophets but there are false prophets. True prophets display the rod of righteousness
Exo. 14:9, “But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon.” The Egyptians pursued after the children of Israel. This scripture reveals a threat.
How did the people react to the threat? They became agitated and blamed Moses. That is the natural thing that a lot of people do in the face of threat. But God says stop grumbling, stop murmuring, stop complaining, stop looking for scapegoats, stop all the regrets. There is only one thing you should do; lift up your rod. Use your rod. Exo. 14:12-13, “Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”
In the midst of the cacophony in the voices of the people, always tune to the frequency of the word. Exo. 14:15-16, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift up thou up thy rod, stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Stop grumbling, go forward. Stop complaining, go forward. Don’t be afraid, go forward in the name of Jesus. Remember that it is not easy to go forward when you are at the bank of a mighty sea with a multitude of evil pursuers behind you with their chariots in hot pursuit. When you get to this point, there is only one thing to do – lift up your rod. There is a time to stop praying. God asked Moses, why are you crying? Lift up the rod! May you never turn your back to the enemy any more in Jesus name. Go forward, march forward, no more stagnation. When you march in line with the word of God over your head, you will not sink. Your victory is guaranteed in Jesus name!
