Throw away your idols cont’d

The good news is that you can pray yourself out of idolatry. One of the consequences of idolatry is that it closes the heavens, it is a heaven blocker and when the heavens are closed, there is little any man can do. When the heavens are closed, your prayer bounces back at you. When the heavens are closed, you give and nothing happens. When the heavens are closed, there will be no revelation, efforts are wasted, the ground will become fallow; the earth will not yield her increase. A closed heaven is a curse.

The greatest problem of African countries is not corruption as many tend to believe but idolatry. That is one of the reasons why government policies are not so effective; it is the curse of idolatry that is responsible for the misfortunes of Africa where there is scarcity in the midst of plenty.

Before Abraham was blessed, he had to separate from Lot. You need to separate from your ‘Lot’. There are certain relationships you must break away from if you wish to see the hand of God. May God reveal such relationships to you in Jesus name. Every idolatrous relationship must be severed, there is no virtue in it. If you tally along with someone who is going in the wrong direction, you will get nowhere; that is the meaning of being misled. The Bible says, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Cor. 6:17). What fellowship do you have with such?

Pray –

• Lord, make it impossible for idolaters to rule over me, those who worship other gods will never rule over me in the mighty name of Jesus.

Jer. 14:20-22, “We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee. Do not abhor us, for thy name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us. are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.” This is a very powerful identificational repentance prayer that is capable of opening the heavens closed by idolatry. Idolatry closes the heavens and when the heavens are closed, there will be no rain. Rain depicts the manifest presence of God that brings restoration, the presence of God that make things to grow, multiply and flourish. The rain dimension of the Holy Ghost is the multiplication dimension. The supernatural increase that God gives to your effort is as a result of the blessings of open heavens. God himself will water the ridges and the river of life will flow to overflow dimension in every area of your life and terminate any dryness, destroy every evil seal of idolatry in Jesus name.
