BLESSED BEYOND CURSE 35C- THE HAND OF GOD

Mark 9:17-29, “And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not. He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me. And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him, and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, of a child. And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

There are some issues that will require you to add fasting to your prayer in order to overcome. I can tell you this authoritatively. Some demons cannot go until you add fasting to prayer; this is particularly so for stronghold demons. There are some demons that when a born again Christian who is living right approaches, they will go. There are some demons that will leave only when confronted by a born again Christian who knows the authority of the believer who is living right and who prays regularly. There are some demons that can only go if confronted by a child of God who knows the authority of the believer, who is living right, who is consecrated, prayerful and fasts regularly. Some issues in your life require that you add fasting to your prayer in order for them to dissolve, particularly stronghold issues. So, if you want to see the hand of God manifest, especially in the power dimension, add fasting to your prayer.

During the time when we were conducting deliverance every Sunday at the local Church where I worshiped, as the leader of the team I noticed something very interesting. Whenever we finished our monthly fasting which usually held on a Saturday, by the time we came for prayer on Sunday, the move of God was usually very explosive. This was the regular pattern. As soon as we lifted up our hands to worship and pray, demons would start crying out. If you want to experience the power move of God, live a fasted life. Don’t just fast for a particular occasion like when you need a change of job and when you get the new job, you stop fasting, No. I have discovered that the greatest weapon of spiritual warfare is not the one you do once a week; it is not the one you do once in a year. Your most effective weapon of spiritual warfare is the one you have imbibed as your lifestyle. If you know the kind of environment in which you are called to operate, nobody will tell you to sit up. If God will open your eyes to the enormity of the battles raging over your soul, over your destiny, over your family and over the destiny of your children, you will declare fasting without being told to do so. In fact, food will become secondary. Whenever you notice that you are eating too much food, watch it. It is probably because you are no longer properly tuned to the frequency of heaven. According to Matt 4:4 “Man shall not live by bread alone……..”
