Many people are calling Jesus that they do not really know. It takes revelation to understand who Jesus is. If you do not have the revelation knowledge of Christ, you do not know him. Jesus came to a time in his ministry when he asked “who do men say that I am?” Matt 16:13. The disciples answered, some say you are Elijah, some say you are John the Baptist and some say you are one of the prophets. But Jesus asked them, “who do you say I am?” Matt 16:15-17 and Simon Peter answered and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God”. And Jesus answered and said unto him, “Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”.

Some people misunderstood this to mean that the church was built on Peter. No, the church was not built on Peter. The church was built on the revelation that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus Christ is revealed in his word. John 1:1 says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. Jesus is the incarnate word of God.

1. Jesus is the King.
It is not just that he is the king, he is the King of kings and he is the Lord of lords. Every other king must worship him, every creature must worship him. Everything created will bow before his throne. The bible says in Phil 2:9-11 ; “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. He is the King of kings, the King of glory, the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle, he is the commander of the armies of heaven and guess what? He is the Lamb of God that was slain.

  • Let’s appreciate the Lord and tell him, Lord I worship you, please reveal yourself personally to me as the King of kings. I pray for myself and I pray for every member of my family and every member of Holy Ghost Fellowship Intl. lord reveal yourself to us as the Lord of lords, as the Lord strong and mighty, as the Lord mighty in battle. Make this revelation real to us and may we never forget this, help us to run with it all the days of our lives. May the blessings of this revelation be manifest in our lives forever in Jesus name. Amen.
