2021/2022 OPERATION 18-18 DAY 3I (HEART OF THE MATTER II)

Psalm 51:4 “Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.”

Today, people like to perfume their sin instead of offering genuine repentance. That is one reason why many prayers are hindered. The only prayer of a sinner that God can accept is prayer of repentance. Without true repentance, there cannot be deliverance. Be it personal, family or corporate deliverance, the order is honesty, humility and genuine repentance before deliverance.

It takes humility to acknowledge that one has missed it. Unfortunately humility is becoming very rare today. People are so puffed up and sensitive to correction. Many parents have missed it big-time because instead of correcting their children in love, they choose to condone their misbehavior. If you are not truthful, things may spoil in your hands and the worst thing that can spoil in anybody’s hand is destiny.

Psalm 51:7 “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

This is very deep because there is nothing that distorts the image of God in man like sin. The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Sin disrobes and cuts short the glory of God.

Pray-

• Ask the Lord to purge you with the hyssop of the precious blood of His son Jesus Christ.

• Ask God to make you holy, pure and acceptable to him.

Psalm 51:9 “Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.”

Pray-

• Father, blot out all my iniquities and answer all my prayers in Jesus’ name. Amen.
