2021/2022 OPERATION 18-18 DAY 7F (CONFRONTING IDOLATRY II)

The devil knows the power of worship.  He was the worship leader in Heaven. He allowed his heart to be perverted then started making disciples. He wanted to be like God, exalting himself to the most high. As a result, God cast him from his presence. From that moment, the world has known no peace. The bible captures it this way “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Rev 12:7-9).

Anywhere the devil operates, evil proliferates. He is not only the originator of evil, he is the disseminator. As Christians, we should be enforcers of righteousness in our environment. To do this effectively, we have to rely on the weapon of the precious blood of Jesus Christ. The bible states in Rev 12:11, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

There are two different classes of people; those that are for the devil and those bought and washed by the precious blood of Jesus. There is no neutrality. You are either for the devil or for the Lord. Anyone that is born is born into the age-old battle between good and evil. All your actions, words or thought processes either further the kingdom of darkness or the glorious kingdom of God. Thank God every child of God is a programmed overcomer of the devil and his agents through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the eternal son of the most-high God.

• Dear Heavenly Father, I worship and adore you in Jesus’ name. I thank you for the generous provisions you have made for my well-being here and hereafter through your son Jesus Christ. I proclaim that through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ all my sins are forgiven. My name is written in the book of life. I have overcome the devil and all his schemes, wiles, and agents by the blood of the lamb and by the word of my testimony in Jesus’ name.
