operation 18:18

Today, the Church is no longer raising worshippers. You need not teach a worshipper to give. Our giving ought to proceed from our love for God. It is our love for God that should motivate us to give. What the Church is doing now is putting the cart before the horse and producing transactional Christians who give because of what to get. That is not it. No one told Mary Magdalene to break the alabaster box and pour oil of great fragrance on Jesus. She never knew that what she was doing at that time was prophetic; meanwhile, some “economists” who saw what she did felt bad. Jesus responded “For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.” Those with wrong heart are always calculating and computing when they see the righteous giving. We need to get it right. Prayer, fasting and giving should draw us into a closer relationship with God and ultimately make us true worshippers.

Note that if the presence of God no longer excites you, it is a sign of serious departure. In order words, you have started following God from afar; the next step would be denial. Before Peter denied Jesus Christ three times, he started following from afar. The love of God should necessarily propel you into his presence and before long, you will learn to dwell, not visit the secret place of the most high. You will no longer be visitation-minded but habitation-minded.

When you get to that dimension, grace will flow. The glory of God will be revealed. The blessings of God will pursue you, you need not pray for them. All you need do is to delight yourself in the Lord. You will write new songs for the object of your love and God will become your song. This is what the Lord has called me to do – to raise true worshippers, to preach the bride’s message (this is not a cheap message and that is why it is not popular). It is a message that strips you of self, draws you close to God and trims off every rough edge. The bride of Christ shall be without spot or wrinkle (Eph 5:27).

Pray –

  • Dear Heavenly Father I worship and adore you in Jesus’ name. I ask that you draw me to a closer fellowship with you and make me a worshipper in spirit and in truth in Jesus’ name.
