VIRTUES OF THE CROSS 3E – (UNDERSTANDING WORSHIP II)

If you can use Matt. 18:18 in combination with Rev. 12:11 to pray, there is no power that can mess with you. You already have the key to bind spirits. That was what Jesus did. We are no longer producing worshippers because the Church departed from the cross, stopped magnifying the Lamb and started producing lions. Meekness is not weakness; meekness is tremendous power under the control of the Holy Spirit.

Sometime ago, a sister came to this ministry for counseling. She was working in a bank and made quite some money which she used to sponsor her husband to the United States of America with the understanding that when he settled down, he would then send for the family to join him. Unfortunately, the man got involved in a relationship with another woman in the US. He wanted to get a green card, so he went ahead and married the woman. This sister noticed that she was always fighting all manner of things in her dream which she didn’t quite understand.

One day her husband called from the US and told her that she should ensure that she did not get involved with any other man because he put something in her body before he travelled and that if she dared, there would be serious repercussions. From that day, the sister noticed that every night, in the dream, a man would walk into her room with a very long rod which he used to press her private part violently. She would scream in pains until she woke up.

I was happy that she came on a Thursday when we usually pray deliverance prayers. During prayers, the fire of the presence of God fell and I was led to rebuke the spirit, she immediately transformed into a beast and started manifesting violently. She charged at me to launch an attack and immediately a holy anger welled up in me and the fire of the presence of God enveloped me. I charged back at her and placed my hand on her forehead while rebuking the spirit. She fell and started rolling on the floor. I commanded the demons to go and they started speaking that ‘her husband gave her over to us’.

Using Isa. 49:24-26 to counter their claim, I commanded them to leave and at that point, they started negotiating and asked where I would send them. Everyone present at that prayer meeting screamed, ‘back to sender’. God in his mercy gave me the wisdom to send them to the abyss instead. I sent them to the abyss in the name of Jesus and immediately the demons left. The Sister was completely transformed there and then.

After the service, she came to my office to apologize and said that during prayers, she heard a voice asking her to strangle me and that was why she charged at me in the first place. I explained to her that it was not really her but the demons manifesting. I then asked her if she would have felt better if I sent those demons to her husband, she said “No”. You need not follow the opinion of people if you don’t want to miss God. It was the voice of the people that stopped Moses from entering the Promised Land and prevented Saul from obeying God completely. You need to be careful to be able to hear God. Ministry should be run by the leading of the Holy Spirit and by committees. Church committee without commitment will commit crime!

Eventually, after some years, God turned the heart of this Sister’s husband around, he visited Nigeria to see his family and he gave his wife enough money to set up a private school. Today, she is the proprietress of a very successful private school to the glory of God. May we always have the right spirit in the place of prayer.

• Father, I thank you for your loving kindness towards mankind in blessing us with your son Jesus Christ, your very best gift. I stretch my hands to you and ask you Lord to fill me with your spirit and use me as a healing agent in this sick world. Empower me by your spirit to operate above only, never beneath in Jesus’ name. Amen.
