SANCTIFY YOURSELF 2H

Man has a will of his own. The difference between a sheep and a goat is that a goat is stubborn while a sheep is submissive. Jesus has called us to be like him. And who is this Jesus? Jesus is the Lamb of God that was slain. The greatest characteristic of a lamb is meekness. May the Lord bless us with meekness in Jesus’ name.

Meekness is not synonymous with weakness. Meekness is so much power under the control of the Holy Ghost. That is what it means to be a child of God; one whose life mirrors the nature of Christ. Christ in us is the hope of glory (Col 1:27). Do you want to be meek? Jesus says “learn of me…I am meek and lowly” (Matt 11:29).

PRAYER

• Lord, I repent of any personal action that I may have taken that has resulted in a corporate tragedy. Please forgive me. I ask that you look into my record; is there any decision that I have ever taken that is harmful to the corporate existence of others? Please forgive me.
• Is there any way that I have ever put the wrong foot forward? Lord, I am sorry. I repent and appropriate the cleansing ministry of the blood of Jesus. I receive cleansing by the blood.
• Lord, wipe away every record of sin attributed to my name. Help me, O God, to pursue righteousness, to love you, to hate what you hate and to love what you love in the mighty name of Jesus.
• Lord, make me holy for you are holy in the name of Jesus.
• I appropriate the sanctifying ministry of the precious blood of Jesus. I receive sanctification by the blood in Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen!
