DOMINION OVER LIMITATIONS I

I wish to reiterate what I have said over and over again, that when we get to heaven, we will realize that the best times we spent on earth were the times we spent in the presence of God. David realized it and said, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD” (Psa. 122:1). He prioritized the presence of God so much so that ten times in a day, regardless of his busy schedule, he ensured that he went to the temple. He was the ‘president’ of the nation, yet he created time to be in the presence of God. Why did he do that? David saw what the average person could not see. It is what you see that gives you the drive to pursue. That is the reason why we must be very careful. Show me what you are chasing and I will tell you what you really love. We need to put these things in their proper perspective.

One of the things that man lost in the Garden of Eden is the ability to prioritize. It is so easy to chase shadow and miss God. It boils down to worship. The devil understands the power of worship; everything he has been trying to do since Eden is to corrupt and pervert worship. He knows that the moment you become a true worshipper, you become a terror to his kingdom. My greatest desire is to raise true worshippers.

If you can become a true worshipper, you are made. All other things are additions. Unfortunately, those additions are what Church goers are taught first. If you are a worshipper, you will pray effortlessly, even in your sleep, you will be praying.

I had an encounter where I was caught up in a wonderful deep worship; suspended and connected. In the midst of this, someone came to me to draw my attention to something else. I was very angry and I said to him, “can’t you see that I am talking to my Father?” Worship defines everything – your priority. Once you become a true worshipper, your priority will change. That is why Jesus said in Matt. 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” What are you really seeking? The issue is not just about seeking God, it is about the position you give him in your heart.

Is God your song? When you become a true worshipper, God will be your song and he will give you songs even in the night. Miracles will seek you because the presence of God commands miracles. Joy will seek you because it is the presence of God that defines joy. The only thing that guarantees joy is his presence. The things that people seek will locate you because you have got your priorities right.

Pray –

• Lord, help me to prioritize; help me to get my priorities right. In this life, may I not chase money to the grave. May I not chase money and miss you. Make it impossible for me to chase the things that should be chasing me in the name of Jesus.
• Father, make me a God chaser. Help me to align my will to your will. Let the glories of your presence be manifest in my life and let the joys of your presence overflow in every area of my life.
