4.  Be addicted to the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest symbol of authority. At the cross, every authority of the devil is reduced to nothing and the power of God escalates when you understand the mystery of the cross. When you come from the cross, there is nothing the enemy can hold against you; the battle is no longer yours. The battle is the Lord’s. In heaven, he won the battle. On the cross, he won the battle. In the grave, he won the battle. The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest symbol of dominion over darkness and over every agent of darkness. The cross is the symbol of dominion over sin, self, satan and all his works. That was why Paul said in Gal 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ is now living in me”. The problem of man is the ‘I’ factor. You cannot be an idolater and be fighting idolatry. You cannot be a wicked person and be fighting spiritual wickedness and expect to be effective. When ‘I’ is crucified, it is no longer you, remember that what the devil uses to have an upper hand in people’s lives is sin. The cross is the greatest symbol of display of the glory of God. At the cross, our Lord Jesus Christ was crowned with thorns, those who did it didn’t even realize what they were doing at that time, but they were indirectly crowning him the King of glory. God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Go to the cross, at the cross you will get the right perspective. The cross reduces self to nothing. If Mr self is not crucified, your spiritual warfare will not be effective. Why? This is because God resists the proud, he cannot answer the prayer of the proud. When you crucify the self because you have been to the cross, the resurrection power will come upon you. Remember that the cross is the greatest manifestation and display of grace of God. When you get the equation right, God will release his grace upon you. However, when you go to the cross, don’t remain on the cross forever because Jesus is no longer on the cross. Gal. 2:20 makes it very clear that though crucified with Christ, it is no longer I that live but Christ liveth. He died, rose and is alive – the resurrection power is at work.

5. Don’t stop there, you must ascend with Christ.
Eph. 2:5-6 & 20 “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved; And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.” We are to get to the ascension dimension. That is where the dominion is, where Christ is seated at the very right hand side of God, the place of comprehensive dominion where every other thing contrary will be under your feet – witchcraft and so on. When you operate from above, the wicked will be stripped of all their evil powers; when they take your name to an evil altar, all their evil intentions will backfire on them in the name of Jesus. When you ascend, they will have no choice but to come and make peace with you. Christian, be a child of God indeed. Be strong in the Lord. The only safeguard you have is to be strong in the Lord. Make the Lord your Rock and fortress so that when agents of darkness go to their evil altars in order to harm you, whatever they do will boomerang. There is an anointing called boomerang anointing; it flows from height that is why you need to sit together in Christ above every evil altar, above every satanic agent, above every agent of darkness, above every witch, above the occultists in the land. Are you a child of God? The greater One is inside of you. That is why no evil personality can mesmerize you. The only way they can get you is if you reduce your level of sanctification, if they can dilute your connection, distract, deceive or dislocate you. The moment you disconnect, you become a prey. The devil disconnects people in order to destroy them. We must therefore be very careful of what we receive. When people receive a wrong signal from the accuser and fail to discern that it is not in line with God’s purpose, they magnify it, fix their mind on it and then get a different narrative which they pursue to their own detriment. This is how people get disconnected. Part of the ascension life is fixing your mind on things that are above; you deliberately fix your mind on things that are above. A lot of people are living below the surface. Col. 3:1-3, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Today, the average Christian violates this simple instruction. People prefer to chase money above all else. This is a very serious distortion. What you seek is what determines where you will end. What you chase will always be ahead of you. Jesus said seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness (Matt 6:33). The law of priority is very important here. What is uppermost in your heart? For a lot of people, it is money, for some, it is fame, for others, it is personal ambition.
