6. Be a true worshipper.
This is very foundational. Don’t be a fake worshipper, be a consummate worshipper. John 4:23-24, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” Only the best is good enough for God; that is the basis of worship. Worship is worth-ship. How much is your God worth? In this series, I had emphasized the secret of giving God the best; it will transform your life. If you start giving God your very best in everything today, within a short period of time, things will turn around for the best. That was what separated David from every other person; he was a consummate worshipper. That was why God used him beyond bounds and chose to come through his lineage. The Bible says that the generation of the upright shall be blessed (Psa. 112:2-3). The wealth others are seeking will seek you. True worship is being so fanatically in love with God that the very idea of substituting that love for anything else does not even remotely exist. Fall in love with God to the extent that nothing else can come between you and your God. That is what we need. Many of the people who go to Church today are modern day idolaters. A lot of things are being done in the Church today which God will not endorse. Remember the story of how Jesus entered the temple and drove some people out because of their merchandizing in the house of God. It is very easy to reduce everything to money in the Church and that is what a lot of people love. The moment you reduce everything in the Church to money, the Holy Spirit departs. You may have a big cathedral, organize big programmes but you will not have the move of the Spirit. True worshippers don’t seek miracles, miracles follow them.

7. Be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Eph. 5:18, “And be not drunk with wine wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.” When you are filled with the precious Holy Spirit, he will lead you, he will guide you, he will mentor you. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Rom. 8:14). Holy Spirit will be your guide, your teacher, your counsellor, and he will help you. May you always be led by the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name. Another thing we need this end time is to be discerning. Discernment is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:10). If you are not discerning, you will embrace your enemies and persecute your divine helpers. This is one of the lies of the devil. If you are a child of God in this generation, you need discernment because all that glitters is not gold.

8. Be kingdom minded.
This is what we need mostly. A kingdom minded person thinks differently from a carnally minded person. If you are not kingdom minded, you will be carnally minded. If you are kingdom minded, you will make God’s business your business and you will be a good soul winner. The Bible says that he that winneth a soul is wise (Prov 11:30). I always say this prayer – that God will make heaven more real to me than any earthly thing can ever be. Make this part of your daily prayer. Make heaven rejoice. Col. 3:2, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Rom. 8:6, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Dan. 12:3, “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the starts for ever and ever.” Soul winners are great winners.

Pray –

  • Everlasting and most merciful Father I worship and adore you. I bless and magnify your precious name. I ask you to make heaven more real to me than any earthly thing can ever be, and make me a soul winner in Jesus’ name.
