BE A GOD CHASER 5C – QUALITIES OF GOD CHASERS 2III
QUALITIES OF GOD CHASERS (CONTINUED)
9. God chasers love what God loves and hate what God hates.
True grace is rising up to do God’s will. It is not lowering the standards of God’s word and thinking “God will understand”. True grace is rising up, receiving a supernatural empowerment to do what ordinarily you would not have been able to do. So many people have lowered the standards of God to the point of absurdity because they misconstrued the true meaning of grace. They have a distorted image of God. How many Christians today are worthy ambassadors of Jesus Christ? Jesus loved his Father so much that he said my meat is to do the will of him who has sent me and to finish his work (John 4:34). Jesus also hated what his Father hated; he walked into the temple and on noticing that the place had been converted into a market place, he used a whip to drive them away and turned their tables. You don’t deal with sin lightly. The Bible says, flee! You cannot be wiser than God. You cannot be stronger than Samson. You cannot be wiser than Solomon and you cannot be godlier than David. Run when God says so. The only thing you can do to lust is flee.
Pray –
- Make me a true worshipper. Grace to worship you, Lord, grant unto me. Grace to be holy in this sinful world, Lord, bestow upon me and upon every member of my family and every member of this fellowship.
- Make this fellowship a true worship center, a place where people love you and worship you in spirit and in truth. Make us all you want us to be and empower us to walk hand in hand with you.
- Let your glory be revealed in us and through us. Show us your mercy where we missed it. Strengthen us where we are weak. Help us to flee from the corruption that works through lust in this world. Grant us the grace to rise up to do your will all the days of our lives in Jesus’ name.
- Father, in any way that I have ever misrepresented you in my environment, please have mercy on me and make me a worthy ambassador of yours all the days of my life. Thank you ancient of days, in Jesus’ mighty name.
