DAGON MUST FALL 2B

God has been awesome. Walking with him gets sweeter and sweeter by the day. Anyone who walks with him over a period of time comes to the inevitable conclusion that God is faithful. I wonder how some people live without God. I experienced it once during my undergraduate days. I was a lost person on my way to hell because I removed God and decided to find ‘the truth’. That was the driest period of my life, it was so dry and empty. I tried to be all manner of things and saw light from another perspective. In a way, it was good that I went through that period though.

When I see those who were brought up in the Lord and still thinking that there is something else out there, it is the greatest lie ever. Do you know that out there is dry and full of lies and emptiness? Without God, there is no meaning to life; that, I can tell you authoritatively because I experienced it. Everyone you meet out there is acting, in showmanship. Many times children of God fail to appreciate the enormity of this; they feel that there is something out there and so they want to be what God has delivered them from.

There is no peace for the unrighteous. They don’t know it and cannot give it. Life is unfolding very fast. How many of the celebrities in the world today have comprehensive success? Many succeed to fail; many of them in their prime. What is the missing link? Emptiness! Jimi Hendrix, one of the most successful and influential musicians of his era, a rock guitarist broke his guitar at the peak of his career and it was presumed that he committed suicide at the age of 27. Many of them cannot sleep without taking substances. They become so addicted to the substance that they need to be injected regularly. It progresses until they fail.

The moment you remove God from the equation, other spirits will take over. There is no vacuum in the realm of the spirit. If you remove God, other spirits enter.

The number of people going into depression today is alarming. I handled a case recently of a sister in depression. She was given drugs at a very good hospital but the more she took the drugs, the more depressed she became. No pill can cast out demons. If a sickness is spiritual in nature, the only cure is the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus and the word of God. Thank God for who you are in Christ and what Christ has given you. If you don’t celebrate who you are, you will try to be what you are not. If you don’t celebrate what God has given you, the world will give you what it has and there is nothing the world can give that is ultimately beneficial.

PRAYER

• Appreciate God. Give him all the glory. Worship him. It is sweet to walk with God particularly if you have no agenda of your own and you are willing to learn.
• Thank you Lord, for calling us, lifting us, leading us, guiding us and showing us the way and establishing us in it. We trust you to work out your plans for us in the name of Jesus.
• As we continue in this journey, please continue with us. Make our path the path of the righteous. Do not allow us to stray in the name of Jesus. Thank you mighty God, in Jesus’ name.
