Reasons Christians fall sick (CONT’D).

5. Age.
God never designed this earth to be the final resting place for anyone. There are only two final resting places: heaven and hell. We are birds of passage and we need to understand this. There is a time to be born, a time to grow, and a time to depart, a time to go. By the time you get to a hundred years, some parts of your body will no longer function well. There was a time people could live up to 969 years, but that time is gone.

Those five reasons are also why Christians suffer.

Pray –

• That the hand of God will be with you, that the presence of God will protect you, that the blessings of God will never depart from your life and that your joy will be full.
• That you will live while you live and continue to be right at the center of God’s will for your life and that you will be fruitful in the name of Jesus Christ.
• That you will enjoy life and not endure it. Above all, that you will be addicted to the presence of God because that is where you have fullness of Joy. This year, you will have it in overflow dimension.
• You will walk in perfect health. You will not miss God’s mark. The favor of God will rest upon your life. You will not run helter-skelter. You will not work for people who will use you as a guinea pig in the name of Jesus Christ.
• You will walk and live in perfect health and you will be a healing agent in a sick world because of what Jesus has done. The fullness of the blessings of redemption you will enjoy in Jesus’ name.

If you are living in health (it is possible), year in year out, you will have no need to talk about what medicine to take and which consultant to see.

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”

Exodus 15:26 KJV

This is the word of God for the children of Israel. We are the spiritual Israelites so God is talking to us here. None of the Egyptian’s sicknesses will come to us in the name of Jesus. However, we need to tell ourselves the truth. This blessing is predicated on complete obedience. Pray that God will grant us – every member of our families and every member of this ministry grace for comprehensive obedience. It is a matter of choice. When you caution a person concerning a dangerous habit, instead of taking correction, they become defensive. Today, some medical doctors still smoke despite the fact that they know the consequences of doing so. How can someone use his or her money to buy something that will poison them?

As you keep all the commandments and statutes of the Lord, God’s own part is to ensure that none of those plagues come near you. It is not enough to just pray – God do not allow any of the Egyptian sicknesses to come to me. That is how the modern day Christian will pray. But the right prayer should be, Father, grant me grace to be complete in obedience. If you are complete in obedience, God will fulfil his own part of the promise.

Pray –

• Ask God to help you to be complete in obedience to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit and to the written word.
