OVERTHROWING THE THRONE OF INIQUITY V

God expects his children to overthrow evil altars.

“These are the statutes and judgments which ye shall observe to do in the land which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth. Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God”.

Deuteronomy 12:1-4, KJV

God gave this injunction because the spirit that promotes idolatry is wickedly aggressive. Anyone who catches it is doomed. Nothing beclouds judgment like idolatry because it is the spirit of iniquity which turns people away from the revealed will of God to something else. There is so much networking of evil altars militating against the purpose of God for his people.

Remember that there are two classifications of spirits in the realm of the spirit. God gets his job on earth done through righteous authorities empowered by the Holy Spirit. The devil gets his job done on earth through unrighteous authorities empowered by the spirit of witchcraft. Wherever you find a throne established in iniquity, the overall ruling spirit is the spirit of witchcraft. That is the reason why a true child of God must not extend his hand to any contrary spirit. It is quite dangerous to do so. He must never say yes when he should say no.

Pray –

• For the total extermination of evil forces, evil altars that have held us down. Father, arise against the evil powers that have held us down. Overthrow every evil altar that has held us down. Overthrow every altar of idolatry, overthrow every shrine and every throne of iniquity in the name of Jesus.

“Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens”.

Jeremiah 10:11, KJV

Pray –

• Every contrary altar raised, every throne of iniquity set over this nation, perish from this earth and from under these heavens in Jesus’ name.

Prov. 28:9, “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination”. Whoever despises the law has rebelled against the word of God; in other words, the person has turned away from light. That is the reason why Psa. 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me”.

“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear”.

Isaiah 59:1-2, KJV

God cannot hear the prayer of a sinner; he calls it abomination and classifies such a person as the wicked. A lot of people are not getting blessed because they are not doing things in line with the revealed will of God. That is why the Bible says in Hosea 4:6, my people perish for lack of knowledge! A lot of ignorance is exhibited even in the place of prayer. If you are not aligned with the revealed will of God your prayer will not amount to much.

Pray –

• That your prayer will not be an abomination before God. Pray that you will not waste your efforts.
• Father, make it impossible for our prayers to be abomination in your sight in the mighty name of Jesus. When we pray, O God, answer us and let your light shine upon our path.
• Grant us grace to align with your word and to always be on the path of the righteous in Jesus’ name.
