FACTS ABOUT WHAT YOU CHASE
SUNDAY SERVICE

BE A GOD CHASER 1A

I got into the ministry through intercession and as such when I see the kind of contradictions in the world today, I shudder and ask some questions. If you bear the burden of an intercessor, it could be very disturbing. However, God puts that burden in you so that you can do something about it. An intercessor is one who stands in the gap. When carrying this burden, no one understands you except you and all you need to do is to just go and pour out your heart to God.

God the Father is an intercessor. God the Son is an intercessor. God the Holy Spirit is an intercessor. This goes to show the importance of intercession. God said,

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none”.
Ezekiel 22:30, KJV

God is still looking for that man. May you be that person in the name of Jesus. God does not need up to two people to save a situation, it takes just one intercessor.

PRAY –
  • May God grant us the grace to make the necessary amends so that he can use us effectively in the mighty name of Jesus.
  • May we not just go through life as people who have no focus or people who follow the world in the name of Jesus.

The world is always headed in the wrong direction. One of the ways to identify a wrong direction is to ask yourself the question – where is the crowd going?

One word that you should take special note of is the word ‘decision’, very important. Another word worthy of note is direction. Many people are like the office pin, pointing in one direction and headed in the opposite direction. God didn’t say I looked for a woman, but a man. When God found Abraham, he found faithfulness in him, he said Abraham will govern his family. The world is the way it is today because man has refused to take responsibility. It started in the Garden of Eden; a perfect man created by a perfect God put in a perfect environment with only one command. When he couldn’t keep it, he started blaming God. “It is the woman you gave me” (Gen. 3:12). Irresponsibility always ends up in buck passing. You can see this pattern everywhere. God decided that henceforth, it is going to be whosoever finds a wife and his own responsibility is to put favour on it. The finding must however be done by man himself, not God.
