BE A GOD CHASER 2C

How do you prioritize? What you chase will determine your destination; you cannot be pointing at the direction of the world and expect to make it to heaven. Are you facing the direction of the world? Pause, ponder, if yes, then, make a one hundred and eighty degrees turn. If you are facing the world you cannot end in heaven. Pastors are supposed to be shepherds; shepherds are supposed to be pointing people to God and not to this world that is sinking. That is one of the very terrible weaknesses of the prosperity message; “give me your gold and I will make you a god”.

We are not redeemed by silver and gold (1 Pet. 1:18-20) we are redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. How much is your salvation worth? Salvation is free but not cheap, it cost God his very best. After going through this message, I believe that you will never again play games with your Christianity.

Eternity is too serious to be left to chance. Some of you have parents whom you claim to love yet you cannot vouch for their souls. What are you holding onto in this dusty earth? The world is crazy and if you follow the system of the world, you cannot make heaven because they are two different spirits. You need to know this because the temptation will definitely come. There are lots of spirits that are released all over the place; there is the spirit of the world but there is the Holy Ghost.

Holy Ghost Fellowship is not another Church; it is partnership with the precious Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, no one can make it to God. If you follow the spirit of the world, you can become the president of the greatest country in the world but that is it! It is the spirit that guides you in this world that will lead you home.

Everyone will end up in the home of their owner. Who owns you? Some people throw away the seal of the Holy Spirit in exchange for the seal of the world. True faith is correct placement of value in your relationship with God the Father through his Son, Jesus Christ.

The kind of messages being preached today is capable of making people modern day idolaters. Idolatry is what you worship, what you place value in. It is when you elevate money above the love of God. You can be a bishop but deep down in your heart, you know that you are just using God to make money.

It is so easy to chase money and think that you are still chasing God. That is why you need to place value in your relationship with God and hold him very tightly so that you will be able to say no to whatever the world throws at you.

There are satanic evangelists all over the place looking for whom to recruit. May they not find you in the mighty name of Jesus. When sinners entice you, may the Lord empower you to say no in the mighty name of Jesus. Whenever you say ‘no’ to satanic evangelism, heaven smiles at you.

The next major programme of God will not take you unawares in the name of Jesus. The rapture is going to be a highly spiritual encounter; it is only those who are tuned to the frequency of heaven that will hear the sound of the trumpet. That is the danger in being earthbound, chasing things. You need a Jesus encounter because one Jesus encounter is enough to change your theology forever. Jesus knows how to teach with his encounters. He changed Saul to Paul.

You cannot have an encounter with Jesus and still remain the same. Your pursuits and inclinations will change, your desires will change. Your investments will change. The best way to live is to invest in things that have eternal value. How much of it have you done this year? If you learn to put God first, he will surprise you.

• Everlasting and most merciful Father, I worship you. I ask you to empower me by your spirit to work hand-in-hand with you so that your purpose will be fulfilled in every facet of my life in Jesus’ name, amen.
